Responsibilities
~1 min readThe Assembler I performs tasks that are necessary to the production process by independently aiding in the fabrication, inspection, and packaging of component parts and products.
- →Pull parts to assemble, test, and skid/pack per drawings, specifications, and procedures.
- →Assemble finished products from blueprints to the specification indicated on the blueprints.
- →Prepare units for shipment. Construct skids and boxes as required. Paints, stencils, and affixes nameplates as required.
- →Maintain tools and equipment provided for the assembly operations.
- →Maintain work area in an organized manner.
- →Comply with all the ISO 9001 Quality standards, policies, and procedures of API.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Mechanical aptitude and a functional knowledge of hand tools.
- Ability to read blueprints and use tape measure.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Requirements

Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 8–12 hours per shift). - Walking:
Frequent walking throughout the production floor. - Lifting and Carrying:
- Regularly lift and carry up to 25–50 pounds.
- Occasionally lift heavier items (up to 75 pounds) with assistance or equipment.
- Pushing and Pulling:
Use of manual or mechanical means to push/pull carts, equipment, or materials. - Repetitive Motions:
Frequent use of hands and wrists for repetitive tasks (e.g., assembling, sorting, packaging). - Manual Dexterity:
Good hand-eye coordination and the ability to handle small parts or tools. - Climbing:
Occasional use of ladders or steps to reach equipment or storage areas. - Visual and Hearing Requirements:
- Sufficient vision (with or without correction) to read labels, safety signs, and equipment gauges.
- Adequate hearing (with or without aids) to respond to alarms and verbal instructions in a noisy environment.
- Environmental Tolerance:
- Ability to work in varying temperatures (hot, cold, or humid conditions).
- Exposure to noise, dust, odors, and manufacturing chemicals.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
