1st Shift Assembler

The Assembler I performs tasks that are necessary to the production process by independently aiding in the fabrication, inspection, and packaging of component parts and products.

• →Pull parts to assemble, test, and skid/pack per drawings, specifications, and procedures.
• →Assemble finished products from blueprints to the specification indicated on the blueprints.
• →Prepare units for shipment. Construct skids and boxes as required. Paints, stencils, and affixes nameplates as required.
• →Maintain tools and equipment provided for the assembly operations.
• →Maintain work area in an organized manner.
• →Comply with all the ISO 9001 Quality standards, policies, and procedures of API.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Mechanical aptitude and a functional knowledge of hand tools.
• Ability to read blueprints and use tape measure.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.

1. Standing:
   Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 8–12 hours per shift).
2. Walking:
   Frequent walking throughout the production floor.
3. Lifting and Carrying:
• Regularly lift and carry up to 25–50 pounds.
• Occasionally lift heavier items (up to 75 pounds) with assistance or equipment.

4. Pushing and Pulling:
   Use of manual or mechanical means to push/pull carts, equipment, or materials.
5. Repetitive Motions:
   Frequent use of hands and wrists for repetitive tasks (e.g., assembling, sorting, packaging).
6. Manual Dexterity:
   Good hand-eye coordination and the ability to handle small parts or tools.
7. Climbing:
   Occasional use of ladders or steps to reach equipment or storage areas.
8. Visual and Hearing Requirements:
• Sufficient vision (with or without correction) to read labels, safety signs, and equipment gauges.
• Adequate hearing (with or without aids) to respond to alarms and verbal instructions in a noisy environment.

9. Environmental Tolerance:
• Ability to work in varying temperatures (hot, cold, or humid conditions).
• Exposure to noise, dust, odors, and manufacturing chemicals.
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
