Thermal Transfer Products (TTP) is seeking an experienced and highly engaged Plant Manager to lead daily operations at our Racine, WI manufacturing facility. With over 125 employees and a high‑mix/low‑volume (HMLV) production environment, this role is responsible for driving the highest standards of safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and employee engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and model a zero‑incident mindset, ensuring compliance with OSHA, company policies, and ISO 9001 requirements.
  • Conduct regular safety walks, job hazard analyses (JHAs), and ensure timely closure of corrective actions.
  • Partner closely with the Maintenance/ME Manager to oversee EH&S programs, training, and compliance.
  • Drive proactive safety initiatives, near‑miss reporting, incident investigations, and continuous improvement of safe work practices.
  • Manage all plant operations across Production, Maintenance, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Continuous Improvement, and EH&S.
  • Oversee schedule execution, capacity planning, resource allocation, and workflow optimization.
  • Ensure consistent execution of production plans with focus on reducing WIP, lead times, and bottlenecks.
  • Drive operational readiness, equipment uptime, process capability, and daily performance accountability.
  • Lead Lean efforts including 5S, visual management, standard work, SMED, and waste elimination.
  • Champion A3 thinking, PDCA, and structured CI methodologies.
  • Collaborate with Quality/CI Manager to deliver annual productivity goals.
  • Ensure adherence to ISO 9001 processes and documentation.
  • Drive improvements in first-pass yield, scrap reduction, and corrective actions.
  • Oversee in‑process and final inspections.
  • Lead, coach, and develop six direct reports.
  • Strengthen engagement through communication and involvement.
  • Support training matrices, cross-training, and performance reviews.
  • Bachelor’s degree Engineering, Supply chain or related field
  • 8+ years in manufacturing, including 5+ years in plant or senior operations leadership
  • Strong Lean, Continuous Improvement background with proven results
  • Demonstrated safety leadership
  • Experience in managing Production, Maintenance, Manufacturing Engineering and Quality teams
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001 requirements
  • Strong communication, leadership presence, and financial acumen

Nice to Have

  • 10+ years manufacturing experience; 5+ years in plant leadership
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt
  • Experience with ERP and data visualization platforms
  • Experience leading multi‑shift operations
  • Experience in a high mix/low volume environment
  • Environment: Manufacturing floor with potential exposure to temperature extremes, dust, fumes, manufacturing chemicals, and noise.
  • PPE: Safety glasses, steel-toed boots, and hearing protection required.
  • Physical Demands: Standing/walking for extended periods, occasional lifting (25–50 lbs.), manual dexterity, and visual acuity.
  • Schedule: Primarily day shift with occasional evening or weekend work as needed.
