Senior Product Technologist

About The Role We are looking for a Senior Product Technologist to serve as the technological focal point for PDC's material metrology platforms. In this role, you will lead the scientific and experimental work behind a best-in-class metrology tool. You'll design and run hands-on experiments, both in our labs and at customer sites, and analyze the data rigorously. You'll turn the results into technology direction and system requirements, grounded in a deep understanding of the underlying physics and the customer processes being measured. You'll work closely with Physics, Systems, Algorithms, and Software teams to reach metrology-grade performance. Must-Haves * PhD (preferred) or MSc in Physics, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field from a leading institute, with a strong academic research background * A proven record of hands-on experimental research: designing experiments, building or adapting setups, and collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data * 10+ years of R&D experience in multidisciplinary projects, in academia and/or industry * Solid understanding of semiconductor materials, processes, and device technology Nice to Have * Hands-on experience developing (not just using) X-ray techniques, microscopy, spectroscopy, optical systems, or SEM * Experience working with customers or external research partners Soft Skills * Curious, highly motivated, and independent, with a proven ability to learn quickly * Big-picture thinker: you understand the "why" behind each experiment and connect detailed results to the wider technical and customer context * Excellent communication skills, including presenting complex technical results clearly * A team player who thrives in cross-functional environments ## Qualifications ### Education: Bachelor's Degree ### Skills ### Certifications: ### Languages: ### Years of Experience: 7 - 10 Years ### Work Experience: ## Additional Information ### ### Shift: Day (Israel) ### ### Travel: Yes, 20% of the Time ### ### Relocation Eligible: No ### Referral Payment Plan: Employee Referral (Standard) Applied Materials is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to diversity in the workplace.
