JOB SUMMARY

The HR Generalist supports the organization by implementing and administering human resources programs or policies. The HR Generalist will facilitate and implement appropriate HR programs and processes with a high degree of business value and engagement in order to help achieve corporate goals and initiatives.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Job duties and responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned as needed.
  • Supports the HR core processes that drive the initiatives of talent management, total rewards, performance management, and employee engagement and retention.
  • Partners with management to ensure compliance with corporate programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Is responsible for the execution of corporate onboarding and offboarding programs, which include delivery, logistics, content revisions and updates, and evaluation of programs effectiveness.
  • Deploys performance management/appraisal program tools and processes including coaching, feedback sessions and training.
  • Oversee the Leave of Absence administration to include ADA, FMLA, STD and LTD programs.
  • Drives the Career Planning Program by reviewing the program for enhancements and partnering with leaders to ensure program success.
  • Maintains needed knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS
 
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field, required
  • 6+ years of experience in Human Resources to include but not limited to the following HR areas:
    • Employee Relations
    • Performance management
    • Compensation management
    • Training
    • Leave of Absence/FMLA/ADA/WC
    • Onboarding
    • Offboarding
  • Proven experience using Microsoft Office Suite at an intermediate to expert level
  • Experience with HRIS (preferably ADP), strong plus
  • Knowledge/experience with general employment laws required
  • PHR Certification preferred.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills including courtesy, resourcefulness, and efficiency in answering questions, providing internal / external direction, and explaining corporate / departmental policies and procedures are necessary.
  • Strategic thinking and analytical skills demonstrating proactive approaches to problem-solving with strong decision-making capability.
  • Strong analytical, organizational and project management skills effectively managing a number of diverse tasks, activities, and projects.
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion, be adaptable to various competing demands, and demonstrate the highest level of customer service and response.
  • Proven ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated success in building strong credibility and working relationships with all levels of employees.
  • Ability to manage employee relations situations and solve complex problems effectively, efficiently and with creativity.
  • Ability to prepare, analyze, report, and make recommendations on data, some of which may include headcount / turnover, compensation, performance management, etc.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate verbally - expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word to impart oral information to others or the public and to convey detailed spoken instructions to others. Ability to occasionally sit or stand for extended periods of time.

WORK LOCATION

The candidate will work at our corporate headquarters in Richardson, TX.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Applicants for U.S. or Canadian based positions with ARGO must be legally authorized to work in the United States or Canada. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available at this time for ARGO positions.
