Compliance Intern

The ADM Regional Compliance Office advises ADM colleagues from the Asia Pacific region on compliance issues. Our area of responsibility includes corruption prevention, antitrust compliance, export control regulations, data protection, money laundering, sustainability and ethics issues. As an intern in the compliance department, you will support our regional and international team in all activities.

Your Responsibilities

• Supporting third-party due diligence reviews, including background research, adverse media screening, and red-flag identification across APAC counterparties
• Supporting the maintenance of due diligence records, approval logs, and escalation documentation
• Assisting in the preparation of investigation materials including timelines, document summaries, and interview preparation notes
• Supporting document collection, organization, and review in connection with ongoing investigations
• Contributing to the development and refresh of compliance training content for APAC audiences
• Drafting compliance communication materials
• Assisting with post-training tracking, completion reporting and feedback analysis
• Reviewing, drafting and red-lining anti-corruption, sanctions and sustainability clauses in commercial agreements and supplier contracts under supervision of a senior compliance colleague
• Supporting data privacy compliance activities, including research into APAC jurisdiction requirements, review of data agreements, and maintenance of privacy documentation
• Maintaining internal knowledge resources and compliance reference materials
• Extracting and consolidating compliance-related data and preparing presentations for executive meetings

Your Profile

• You are studying law, business administration, economics or business law.
• You have a proactive, ownership-oriented approach and are comfortable working across multiple workstreams simultaneously.
• You have a good command of the MS Office package.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Working proficiency in another language is an advantage.
