NATURE & SCOPE
The QC system coordinator is responsible for the design, configuration, implementation, maintenance, and continuous optimization of the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). This role serves as the primary technical bridge between laboratory scientists, quality, and IT infrastructure, ensuring that data integrity, system security, and regulatory compliance are maintained across all operational workflows. The QC system coordinator is responsible for managing the complete lifecycle of laboratory samples, physical retains, and consumable inventory. This role ensures strict compliance with chain-of-custody protocols, accurate inventory tracking, secure storage management, and seamless material flow to support analytical testing operations without interruption and retains collection for investigations.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES
The QC system coordinator is responsible for the design, configuration, implementation, maintenance, and continuous optimization of the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). This role serves as the primary technical bridge that ensure data integrity, system security, and regulatory compliance are maintained across all operational workflow. In addition QC system coordinator is responsible for managing the complete lifecycle of laboratory samples, physical retains, and consumable inventory. This role ensures strict compliance with chain-of-custody protocols, accurate inventory tracking, secure storage management, and seamless material flow to support analytical testing operations without interruption and retains collection for investigations.

Key areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to, the following:

LIMS System Administrator

• Design, configure, and modify LIMS workflows, sample login protocols, test specifications, instrument integrations, and electronic lab notebooks to support evolving laboratory requirements.
• Work with the raw material and product development teams to ensure test specifications and new products are implemented into LIMS correctly.
• Manage user account provisioning, role-based security permissions, and access controls.
• Ensure the LIMS adheres to regulatory standards such as 21 CFR Part 11, GMP, GLP, and ISO/IEC 17025.
• Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and training materials for end-users. Conduct onboarding and continuous training sessions for laboratory staff as needed

Laboratory Inventory Management

• Manage the intake, cataloguing, secure storage, tracking, and controlled disposal of retain samples in accordance with corporate policies and regulatory mandates. Perform periodic physical audits of retain inventories.
• Obtain retains samples as needed when investigations or additional samples request at requested.
• Monitor stock levels of laboratory consumables, chemical reagents, reference standards, and safety supplies. Notify the laboratory leadership team when stock is low and help support placing purchase requisitions, track shipments, inspect incoming goods, and manage inventory.
• Work with the team to maintain organization, cleanliness, and traceability across all stockrooms and retain storage areas to ensure constant readiness for internal audits, FDA inspections, and ISO accreditations.

Other Responsibilities

• Deliver guidance on Quality Systems, Quality processes, and related procedures.
• Support internal and external audits
• Assist with third party data entry and review
• Serve as a participant on project teams as assigned.
• Act as a delegate for Lab Administration and Quality Specialists when needed to serve as a backfill.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Minimum – 4 year university degree
• Preferred – 4 year university degree in science, biotechnology, or other related field.

• Local travel (between sites): 25%
• Ability to take initiative, maintain confidentiality, meet deadlines, and work in a team environment
• Strong leadership skills
• Strong knowledge of current quality systems requirements and implementation techniques.
• Superior communication and analytical skills, plus demonstrated skills to handle a variety of assignments simultaneously.
• Requires excellent written and verbal communications.
• Must have the ability to assess situations and develop solutions
• Must have excellent attention to detail
• Must have the ability to adjust to changing work demands and priorities in a fast paced environment
• Experience with Microsoft Office products with an emphasis on Excel
• Strong analytical experience
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly

• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.  Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
• Must be able to walk, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, reach and grasp for varying periods of time.
• Ability to climb ladders and ensure proper ergonomics and safety.
• Ability to lift items up to 50 lbs.

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.
