The Rail Flour Unloader Position is primarily responsible for unloading and transferring flour from rail cars to the flour storage bins.  This position must learn to unload rail flour cars, operate the unload system and perform sanitation duties in the unload and transfer areas.  A significant amount of time will be spent outside while performing duties related to this position.  This position will require work on off shifts and weekends.

Qualifications for this job include, but are not limited to:

• Ability to stand and walk continuously for 8 hours if necessary
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders
• Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds/23 kilograms
• Ability to work at heights and wear standard fall protection safety gear
• Must be willing to rotate shifts and work overtime
• Must be willing to work 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts, weekends and required overtime
• Must have reliable transportation to work including on 2nd and 3rd shift
• Must be able to direct other employees in proper safety, food safety, and sanitation procedures
• Must be able to complete paperwork and plant control documentation in both written and computerized
• Must be willing to learn about and operate all equipment in the distribution department
• Must be able to learn to operate a fork lift in the warehouse
• Must be willing to follow all safety and food safety rules and procedures
• Must be willing to learn and operate all equipment in the Bulk Feed Loadout
• Must be willing to learn and operate all equipment in the Rail Bulk Flour Unload area
• Must be willing to learn and operate the plant locomotive and track-mobile
• Ability to wear a half-face dust respirator is a requirement.  Prospective candidate must be able to pass required medical clearances and fit tests
• This position will require work outside of the building in normal exterior temperatures during all seasons

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.
