Your Opportunity at ARC’TERYX:
As the Sourcing Specialist, you partner with a team of highly qualified sourcing, quality, and raw materials professionals to achieve business objectives, collaborating across the Arc’teryx Headquarters and the Arc’teryx Hong Kong Office. You will be working with a well-developed base of highly professional long term vendor partners, always looking for creative solutions and processes to improve speed, optimize cost, support margin, and best utilize supply chain capabilities and efficiencies.

The Hong Kong Office team is a cross functional group whose focus is on optimizing responsiveness to market with quality product, while driving towards cash flow and inventory targets.

We are a small but highly versatile team of problem solvers and process makers, driving collaborative partnership between Arc’teryx Headquarters, our vendors, and the Hong Kong Office team. We support the building and execution of a sustainable global sourcing strategy that enables us to deliver exceptional product at the right place, with the right quality and cost, and on-time.
  • Supporting the Sourcing Manager to drive partnership with our vendors to deliver best-in-class performance
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for factories regarding T1 capacity planning and lead times.
  • Conduct regular capacity review meetings with key manufacturing partners.
  • Collaborate with vendors to understand their capabilities, constraints, and expansion plans.
  • Proactively secure and book production capacity with key vendors to meet seasonal launch schedules.
  • Monitor and track factory capacity utilization in real-time, identifying potential risks and over/under-capacity situations.
  • Support to develop contingency plans and alternative sourcing strategies to mitigate capacity shortfalls or unexpected demand spikes.
  • Partner with the Production Planning team to align capacity with the master production schedule.
  • Work closely with the Product Development, Design, Quality and Merchandising teams to understand product complexity, quality and its impact on production capacity.
  • Generate regular reports on capacity status, factory utilization, and on-time delivery performance.
  • Analyze historical data and future demand forecasts to ensure capacity plans for each product category and manufacturing partner are aligned.
  • Analyze production lead times and efficiency metrics to drive continuous improvement.
  • Present findings and recommendations to management to support strategic decision-making.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of all sourcing activities, supplier information, and business data.
  • Researching and assessing new vendors to support the business and capacity growth and driving continuous improvement
  • Owning vendor development and relationship building with stakeholders
  • Managing SAP vendor set-up and signing of T1 Supply Agreements
  • Owning the onboarding and training of new vendors and continuously building capabilities throughout the entire vendor base
  • Providing support to the Sustainability team on compliance and ESG management
  • Upholding Fair Labour Association’s Workplace Code of Conduct and Principal of Fair Labor and Responsible Sourcing throughout the Arcteryx Supply Chain
  • Working closely with the Amer Sports Global Sourcing Vendor Sustainability team on quarterly business reviews and training/capacity building
  • Working more in-depth with current and future vendor base to propose continuous improvements on vendor level for efficiency and cost improvements
  • Building a talent pipeline to support long term workload increase and business growth
  • Contribute to the development of the seasonal sourcing strategy.
  • Develop and maintain detailed capacity planning models and dashboards.
  • You have a degree in Merchandising/Business Management or related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience
  • You have 5+ years’ experience in apparel sourcing, capacity planning or merchandising in a global company
  • You have strong interpersonal skills and can work effectively with internal and external stakeholders of diverse cultural backgrounds
  • You have expertise in negotiation, problem solving and multi-tasking
  • You have good knowledge of raw materials, technical construction and product costing. Footwear experience is a plus
  • You are assertive and have a high level of self-initiative
  • You are fluent in English and have strong verbal and written communication skills
  • You are proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point) and Outlook, and knowledge of ERP & PLM systems is an advantage (e.g., SAP, Centric etc.)
  • You remain highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity
