Organizational Change Manager

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Organizational Change Manager to support the successful adoption and implementation of organizational, technology, and business changes across key projects and initiatives. The Change Manager will work closely with Project Managers, Business Leads, project teams, and stakeholders to assess the impact of change, develop and execute change management strategies, and ensure users and stakeholders are prepared for successful implementation.

The ideal candidate will have experience leading organizational change management for IT and digital transformation projects, with a strong understanding of change management frameworks such as Prosci/ADKAR. Experience within the gas, energy, or utility industry is highly desirable.

This is a contract opportunity with one of Arctiq's clients. Candidates must be comfortable with onsite daily presence in Regina, Saskatchewan. 

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with Project Managers, Business Leads, and project teams to understand project objectives and assess the magnitude and impact of change from the current state through implementation.
• Develop and maintain project documentation related to organizational change management activities in accordance with established project standards and guidelines.
• Apply Prosci/ADKAR and other established change management methodologies to plan and deliver organizational change management activities.
• Facilitate stakeholder discussions, workshops, and working sessions to identify impacted stakeholders, understand business impacts, and assess organizational readiness.
• Identify and incorporate targeted, actionable change management activities into overall project plans and timelines.
• Develop and execute comprehensive change management deliverables, including:
  • Change Management Strategy
  • Change Management Plan
  • Communication Plan
  • Sponsor Engagement Plans and Reports
  • Training Plan
  • Reinforcement Plan
  • Resistance Management Plan
• Conduct organizational readiness assessments, evaluate results, and identify potential risks, issues, adoption challenges, and areas of resistance.
• Develop recommendations and mitigation strategies to address identified risks, resistance, and readiness gaps.
• Collaborate with project team members, business stakeholders, sponsors, and other impacted groups to support successful adoption of changes.
• Align change management activities with project methodologies and timelines, including Agile and Waterfall environments.
• Support knowledge sharing and continuous improvement to promote the progressive adoption of organizational change management standards and practices.
• Provide clear and effective updates, presentations, training, and workshops to stakeholders at various levels of the organization.
• Work independently while also collaborating effectively with cross-functional project teams.

Required Skills & Experience

• Prosci Certification is required.

• Proven experience leading Organizational Change Management initiatives, preferably within IT, technology, or digital transformation projects.
• Strong knowledge of established Change Management frameworks and methodologies, including Prosci/ADKAR.
• Experience developing and executing Change Management Strategies and Plans, including communications, training, sponsor engagement, reinforcement, and resistance management.
• Experience conducting organizational readiness assessments, analyzing results, identifying risks and resistance, and developing appropriate recommendations.
• Experience facilitating stakeholder discussions and workshops to identify impacts, stakeholders, and organizational readiness.
• Working knowledge of IT systems and digital transformation initiatives, with the ability to understand and communicate technical impacts to business users.
• Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies and the ability to align change activities with project schedules and milestones.
• Strong project documentation and organizational skills.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to develop and deliver stakeholder communications, training, presentations, and workshops.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
• Experience sharing knowledge and contributing to the continuous improvement of change management practices and standards.
• North American professional experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working within the gas, energy, or utility industry.
• Knowledge or experience within a Natural Gas Transmission & Storage organization.
• Experience supporting large-scale organizational, technology, or digital transformation initiatives.
• Experience working in complex, highly regulated, or operationally critical environments.
