About the Role
~1 min readWe are seeking a Principal Product Manager to set the technical product direction for the Kubernetes (K8s) foundation of the Armada Edge Platform (AEP) and to own Armada's partner platform integration strategy - including Microsoft Azure Local and Palantir Foundry + AIP. This is a company-level charter: decisions made in this role shape AEP's long-term architecture and commercial posture with our largest strategic partners.
This is a hands-on role for a recognized expert who will serve as Armada's principal advisor on edge Kubernetes and partner platform architecture. You will exercise wide latitude in setting objectives and approaches, build formal networks with key decision makers at Microsoft, Palantir, and strategic customers, and act as an external spokesperson for Armada in technical and executive forums - including guiding our sales organization on hybrid and disconnected sovereign deployments built on Azure Local and other partner platforms.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- Own the product direction for AEP's Kubernetes foundation end to end — architecture, deployment model, operations, and lifecycle — setting the standards other product and engineering teams build against
- Define requirements and roadmap for infrastructure reliability, upgrades, and scalability across edge and cloud environments
- Exercise wide latitude in determining objectives and approaches on critical, ambiguous initiatives, devising solutions from limited information with a multi-year view of AEP's strategic goals
- Own Armada's partner platform integration strategy end to end, including Microsoft Azure Local and Palantir Foundry + AIP — setting the technical direction, sequencing, and success criteria across the partner portfolio
- Serve as Armada's recognized authority on Azure Local and sovereign edge deployment models, representing the company externally with partners, customers, and the technical community
- Advise and assist Armada's sales team in architecting Azure Local solutions for hybrid and sovereign customer environments
- Work daily with engineering, design, and QA to deliver product milestones for infrastructure and partner integrations on time and with quality
- Translate platform strategy into detailed, actionable product plans, user flows, and acceptance criteria
- Support product launches with documentation, go-to-market inputs, and enablement in coordination with sales and marketing
Requirements
~2 min read- Bachelor's degree and 15+ years of experience, Master's and 12+ years, or PhD and 8+ years, including at least 8 years in product management for infrastructure, platform, cloud, or Kubernetes-based products
- Recognized as an expert and thought leader in cloud-native or edge infrastructure by both internal and external communities — for example through published work, standards participation, conference speaking, or comparable industry standing
- Proven experience defining and managing the deployment and operations of Kubernetes infrastructure, including lifecycle management
- Strong background in distributed systems, cloud platforms, or infrastructure software
- Demonstrated ability to set objectives and approaches on critical assignments with limited information, on a multi-year horizon affecting strategic goals
- Excellent written and verbal communication with technical and business audiences
- Experience in agile environments using tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, and Figma
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Familiarity with and/or expertise in Microsoft Azure Local, including hybrid and disconnected sovereign deployment scenarios
- Experience integrating with or supporting partner platforms such as Palantir Foundry and AIP
- Experience delivering products for industrial, energy, defense, or public sector customers
- Familiarity with containers and cloud-native technologies at scale
