- Translate customer, colleague, and business needs into clear, structured, and testable requirements, user stories, process models, and acceptance criteria.
- Support Product Owners and delivery teams with backlog refinement, prioritisation, scope definition, and impact assessment activities, ensuring requirements remain aligned to business value and strategic objectives.
- Maintain end-to-end traceability from business need through to requirement definition, solution delivery, testing, and implementation.
- Identify and document dependencies, risks, assumptions, constraints, and opportunities to support effective decision-making and successful delivery outcomes.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, engineering teams, delivery colleagues, and third-party partners to clarify requirements, investigate defects, and define enhancement opportunities.
- Support the ongoing refinement and management of functional demand across retail technology products and platforms, including change requests, enhancements, defect analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Where required, support the configuration and maintenance of approved low-complexity changes within vendor or business systems, including NCR Checkout and other retail technology platforms.
- Provide analysis expertise to support solution design, product planning, delivery decisions, testing activities, implementation, and stakeholder validation.
- Formal Business Analysis certification (e.g., BCS, IIBA)
- Experience working within retail.
- Familiarity with product-led delivery models and tooling (e.g., Jira, Confluence)
- Experience supporting configuration-led or product-led change, ideally within retail, checkout, store systems, or operational technology environments.
- Across the Retail Technology portfolio lead discovery activities to understand customer problems, store colleague needs, operational challenges, and business objectives that have a technology solution.
- Gather, analyse, and synthesise qualitative and quantitative insight to define clear problem statements, opportunities, and improvement recommendations.
- Translate business and user needs into clear, structured, and testable requirements, user stories, process models, and acceptance criteria.
- Ensure requirements are suitable for prioritisation, delivery, testing, and stakeholder validation.
- Where required, support the configuration and maintenance of small-scale requirements directly within the NCR portal, ensuring changes are accurately captured and aligned to agreed outcomes.
- Document real-world store processes, operational issues, gaps, assumptions, constraints, risks, and dependencies to support effective decision-making.
- Undertake testing and validation within the Cave environment to support requirement validation, defect understanding, and solution readiness.
- Validate documentation, requirements, and recommendations with business stakeholders, subject matter experts, Product Owners, and technology teams.
- Monitor trends and use data insights to identify risks, dependencies, and opportunities
- Support delivery by ensuring requirements traceability and alignment with programme goals
- Contribute to governance processes, ensuring documentation, decisions, and rationale are captured
- Build strong relationships across product, engineering, delivery, operations, and third-party partners
- Communicate insights, requirements, and progress clearly and effectively to diverse audiences
- Act as a bridge between business and technical teams to ensure alignment and shared understanding
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst within product, project, or technology delivery environments.
- Strong understanding of business analysis techniques, requirements definition, process mapping, and backlog refinement.
- Experience translating complex business needs, operational processes, and system issues into structured requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and improvement recommendations.
- Ability to work with third-party technology providers and internal delivery teams to support requirement clarification, defect analysis, and delivery decision-making.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data, insight, and stakeholder feedback to support prioritisation and decision-making.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills.
- Experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery environments.
