About the Role

The Morning Front of House Lead is responsible for supporting smooth morning operations across the front of house. This role acts as the point person for the AM team by helping ensure staff arrive on time, service standards are followed, orders are checked in and put away properly, and the floor is supported throughout service.

This position is a working lead role, meaning the AM FOH Lead should be comfortable assisting as a server, support staff, host, runner, or general floor support as needed. The role carries a higher hourly wage due to the added operational responsibility and accountability.

Responsibilities

  • Open Morning Operations
  • Lead FOH morning operations and opening readiness.
  • Ensure staff arrive on time and are shift-ready.
  • Communicate staffing issues and support team productivity.
  • Check incoming orders for accuracy and proper storage.
  • Rotate product and maintain organized storage areas.
  • Report missing or incorrect items to management.
  • Assist on the floor in service, host, runner, expo, or support roles.
  • Help maintain hospitality standards and smooth guest service.
  • Support table resets, food/drink running, and stocked service areas.
  • Reinforce dress code, cleanliness, punctuality, and professionalism.
  • Support opening duties and side work completion.
  • Escalate performance concerns when necessary and lead by example.
  • Keep FOH areas clean, stocked, and organized throughout the shift.
  • Monitor supplies, silverware, glassware, and service stations.
  • Help maintain health code and food safety standards.

Requirements

  • Must be available to start shift at 5:30 AM
  • Must be available to work weekends
  • Previous restaurant, bar, hotel, or hospitality experience preferred.
  • Ability to lead by example while still working alongside the team.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Reliable, punctual, and organized.
  • Comfortable handling deliveries, invoices, stocking, and floor service.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, lift, bend, and carry items during the shift.

The pay range for this role is: $17 USD per hour plus tips (Hotel Ulysses)
