Position Overview
The Medical Laboratory Professional performs high-complexity laboratory testing and analysis to support the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease. This role requires independent judgment, technical expertise, and a strong commitment to quality and accuracy.

- Employment Type: Full-Time
- Shift: 12-hour Day Shift (1st shift; days vary)
- Department: Laboratory Services
- Travel: None required
- Supervisory Responsibilities: None
- Compensation: Competitive; commensurate with experience
- Incentive: Up to $10,000 Commitment Bonus

Key Responsibilities
- Perform laboratory testing across multiple disciplines, including:
- Hematology & Coagulation
- Chemistry
- Urinalysis
- Blood Bank
- Microbiology and Serology
- Ensure proper specimen collection, handling, processing, and analysis
- Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment, including calibration and preventive maintenance
- Adhere to quality control standards and document all activities
- Identify and resolve testing issues or notify appropriate personnel
- Accurately report results, including prompt communication of critical values
- Maintain compliance with infection control, safety, and regulatory standards
- Assist with phlebotomy as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation and laboratory records
Minimum Qualifications
- Education & Certification:
- Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT), Medical Technologist (MT), or Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) certification (ASCP, AMT, NCA, or equivalent)
- Or eligibility for certification within 12 months of hire
- Training: Education and laboratory training consistent with federal requirements for high-complexity testing
- Certification: CPR certification (or eligible within 12 months of hire)

Employment Requirements
- Compliance with all hospital policies, including vaccination requirements (approved exemptions considered)
- Successful completion of a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening (post-offer)
