As Lead I, Business Process, you will help shape ASM's manufacturing excellence strategy by driving initiatives that improve quality, strengthen process capability, and advance our First Time Right and Zero Defect ambitions. Working across Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, and supplier partners, you will lead transformational programs that prevent defects, improve operational performance, and enhance customer confidence. Your work will play a critical role in enabling the next generation of semiconductor technologies that power AI, advanced computing, and connected devices.

Responsibilities

  • Lead global First Time Right (FTR) and Zero Defect initiatives across ASM's manufacturing and supply chain network.
  • Drive manufacturing excellence through process capability improvement, defect prevention, and operational standardization.
  • Implement and strengthen PFMEA, Control Plans, Statistical Process Control (SPC), Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA), and process capability methodologies.
  • Partner with Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, and suppliers to reduce process variation and improve operational performance.
  • Improve supplier and manufacturing processes to prevent defects before they impact production or customers.
  • Lead strategic programs focused on contamination control, cleanliness, reliability, and advanced manufacturing requirements.
  • Accelerate the adoption of data analytics, automation, digital manufacturing, and AI-enabled quality solutions.
  • Utilize performance metrics and data-driven insights to improve First Time Right, customer quality, supplier performance, and Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ).
  • Facilitate root cause analysis and corrective action activities to strengthen process control and long-term operational stability.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to deliver sustainable improvements that support operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and business growth.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, or a related discipline.
  • 8+ years of experience in Manufacturing, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, Engineering, Continuous Improvement, or Program Management.
  • Strong knowledge of SPC, PFMEA, Control Plans, MSA, Process Capability Analysis, Root Cause Analysis, and structured problem-solving methodologies.
  • Experience leading operational excellence, manufacturing transformation, or continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and drive results in a matrixed, cross-functional environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to identify opportunities and drive business decisions.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working in a regulated manufacturing, cleanroom, or high-precision production environment.
  • Experience within the semiconductor, semiconductor equipment, aerospace, medical device, electronics, or other high-reliability manufacturing industries.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, Black Belt, or equivalent continuous improvement certification.
  • Experience with contamination control, cleanliness management, or advanced manufacturing process controls.
  • Knowledge of digital manufacturing technologies, automation systems, AI-enabled inspection, or smart factory solutions.
  • Experience leading supplier quality, supplier development, or manufacturing excellence programs across global organizations.
  • Proven success delivering measurable improvements in quality, yield, productivity, reliability, or Cost of Poor Quality.
  • Experience supporting products and processes in advanced technology or highly complex manufacturing environments
