As a Manufacturing Manager, you will lead semiconductor capital equipment manufacturing operations, ensuring tools are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards. You will drive operational excellence through LEAN manufacturing practices, continuous improvement initiatives, and strong cross-functional collaboration. By developing high-performing teams and optimizing manufacturing performance, you will play a key role in supporting ASM's mission to enable the next generation of semiconductor technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily manufacturing operations to achieve production, quality, safety, and delivery objectives.
  • Establish production schedules and performance metrics to meet customer and business requirements.
  • Monitor manufacturing performance and implement corrective actions to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency.
  • Provide regular manufacturing performance updates and recommendations to management and key stakeholders.
  • Lead LEAN manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize operations and reduce costs.
  • Support manufacturing space expansion and operational readiness projects.
  • Partner with engineering teams to investigate non-conformances and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Ensure manufacturing teams are appropriately staffed, trained, and equipped to perform assigned work.
  • Lead and develop a team of manufacturing supervisors, fostering accountability, collaboration, and operational excellence.
  • Drive productivity and cost improvement programs across manufacturing operations
  • Maintain a safe, compliant, and organized work environment.
  • Foster a culture of disciplined execution, continuous learning, and continuous improvement.
  • Coach and mentor supervisors to strengthen leadership capability and team performance.
  • Conduct performance and development discussions and address employee relations matters as needed.
  • Anticipate operational challenges and proactively develop plans to meet manufacturing output requirements.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • Experience leading manufacturing operations within a semiconductor capital equipment, semiconductor manufacturing, or complex assembly environment.
  • Experience managing and developing manufacturing teams and frontline leaders.
  • Knowledge of LEAN manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience using manufacturing metrics and KPIs to drive operational performance.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across functions and influence outcomes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing expansion, facility ramp-up, or capacity growth projects.
  • Experience leading non-conformance investigations and corrective actions in partnership with engineering teams.
  • Demonstrated success delivering productivity, quality, and cost improvement initiatives.
  • Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes and capital equipment assembly.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Experience leading cultural or operational transformation initiatives.
  • Strong ability to balance strategic planning with day-to-day operational execution.
