Responsibilities
~1 min readThe intern will run baseline deposition recipes and assist senior process engineers in optimizing PECVD processes to enhance film quality, and productivity like defectivity, and film non uniformity.
The role involves hands on work in the cleanroom using state of the art deposition equipment and characterization tools. The intern will develop DOE plans and execute experiments under the supervision of ASM process engineers. Experimental results will be analyzed using in house metrology and characterization tools such as VASE ellipsometry, SP5, EDX, Hg probe, FTIR, AFM, XRR, and nano indentation.
An ideal candidate will have a background in materials science and/or plasma physics with experience or coursework in thin film deposition techniques. It is preference of clean room working experience and vacuum chamber handling experience. Due to the technical depth of the project, candidates pursuing or holding a Master’s or PhD degree are preferred.
