This position is responsible for ensuring compliance with international trade regulations, optimizing duty savings through Free Trade Agreements, and managing customs-related processes. This role involves close collaboration with internal stakeholders, customs brokers, and government authorities to facilitate efficient and compliant cross-border trade.
Responsibilities

- →Customs Regular Compliance:
- →Support and collaborate globally on customs valuation analysis in alignment with internal transfer pricing (TP) structure
- →Review import/export documentation to ensure global compliance with local and international customs regulations.
- →Liaise with global customs brokers and authorities to resolve clearance issues.
- →Global customs valuation matter of expert
- →Free Trade Agreements (FTAs):
- →Analyze and interpret global FTA rules of origin and eligibility criteria.
- →Coordinate with suppliers to obtain and validate origin documentation (e.g., Certificates of Origin).
- →Maintain documentation and audit trails to support FTA claims and duty savings.
- →Find opportunities to enable ASM reducing import duties globally
- →ACVA
- →Assist with ACVA engagement and review annual ACVA annual reports, including voluntary amendment as applicable.
- →Customs Audit
- →Prepare and support ad-hoc inquires and audits those conducted by global customs authorities.
- →Process Improvement & Risk Management:
- →Identify opportunities to optimize customs processes and reduce duty costs.
- →Monitor regulatory changes and assess their impact on business operations.
- →Support internal audits and implement corrective actions as needed.
- →Stakeholder Collaboration:
- →Strong interpersonal skills with hands-on approach, a positive attuite, and flexibility in adapting to evolving work scopes.
- →Work with procurement, logistics, legal, and finance teams to ensure trade compliance.
- →Provide training and guidance on customs and FTA-related topics.
- Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, customs
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in customs compliance or international trade.
- Strong knowledge of customs regulations, HS classification, and FTAs (e.g., USMCA, EU FTAs, ASEAN FTAs).
- Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills
- Certified Customs Specialist (CCS)
- Licensed Customs Broker
- Prior in-house role in a multinational corporation (semiconductors, manufacturing, etc.) is a plus
- Experience with trade compliance software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP GTS, Oracle GTM) is a plus.
- Proficiency in English
