ASRC NetCentric Technology, LLC, a subsidiary of ASRC Federal, is seeking a full-time Geospatial Engineer to support our government customer at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, FL. This role is an on-site position requiring all work to be performed on location. Job Summary: Perform ArcGIS Pro working knowledge level tasks supporting the Air Force GeoBase system. Tasks include maintenance of system feature class data including relevant attribution affecting above- and below-ground civil utility infrastructure, buildings, structures, and pavements. This position directly supports data stewardship targeting Department of Defense Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) requirements.    Duties and Responsibilities:   Update and maintain building and civil utility infrastructure (including electrical, water/wastewater, and pavement systems) mapping and characteristic information. Task performance follows Entity Specification Directives (ESD) for respective feature classes.    Work closely with licensed land surveyor. Gather and prepare mapping information of systems and structures other than buildings and interpret land survey data for entry in GeoBase. Provide interpretation of land survey and design/construction drawings.    Deploy automated data tools for efficient bulk updates, specifically targeting reconciliation of real property data within the Accountable Property System of Record (APSR).   Provide simple and complex maps and associated data tables when necessary. Mapping tolerance levels are applicable.   Interpret altered infrastructure information from construction drawings, land or structure survey, and/or notes to update geographic information system data.   Provide recommendations for data integrity improvement.    Provide GIS support to Community Planner in developing the Basic Information Guide (BIG).   Support geographic information processing with customer civil engineering and safety organizations, with an emphasis in coordinating explosive site plan actions, Line of Sight and Quantity Distance, and Airfield Wavier information.   Assist area development plan tasks, linear segmentation, and facility programming efforts assigned to others. Assistance will require maps and relative building and infrastructure characteristics.   May be asked to support hurricane preparation and recovery activities.   Educational/Training Requirements:   This position requires an associate degree in Geographic Information System, Civil Engineering Technology, or related field Two years’ experience with geographic information systems. Continued education and training on an informal or formal basis are desired.   Skill Requirements/Qualifications: Position requires a background in Air Force Civil Engineering and/or formal education and working knowledge of geographic information system software (ESRI) and related applications. The position requires working knowledge of AutoCAD and related applications. Able to read and interpret design, construction, and as-built soft and hard copy drawings. The position requires working knowledge of general graphic and administrative software such as Acrobat and MS Word and Excel.  State of Florida driver's license is required. Currently possess or ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance and access to restricted areas. US Citizenship is required for obtaining a security clearance. This position requires the successful applicant to obtain and maintain the required security clearance or other authorization(s) within the necessary timeframe required by applicable contract(s).   Work Environment:  Standard administrative/office environment. Computers and associated office equipment will be available as required.   Working in a field environment is also required. Physical location and workstation space may comply with standards established by the USSF facility space requirements and may require working close to others. Use of audio equipment may be used without interference to others. Use of headphones or similar equipment may be used if devices do not impair or restrict effectiveness of fire or other safety alarms or notices.   Physical Demands: Field work will be required to investigate suspected adjustments associated with construction drawings, surveys, or existing geographic information. Use of stairs is required to access the work environment.
