We are seeking a Corporate Tax Manager. In this role you will lead corporate, multi-state, and international tax functions for a multi-entity manufacturing organization, driving compliance, strategic planning, and process improvements across all tax areas. This role blends hands-on execution with strategic oversight, encompassing income tax compliance, ASC 740 reporting, tax planning, and audit management. The Tax Manager will collaborate closely with Finance, HR, Payroll, Operations, and Engineering teams, as well as external advisors, to ensure accurate, timely, and efficient tax processes.

This hybrid on-site position is located at our headquarters in Oak Creek, WI. You will report directly to the VP of Finance.

      • Prepare and review federal, state, and international income tax filings for multiple entities, including quarterly estimates and extensions, and Form 5500 filings. Ensure timely and accurate submissions while identifying opportunities to streamline processes and strengthen controls.
      • Lead ASC 740 tax provision for domestic and international entities, including deferred taxes and uncertain tax positions (FIN 48). Maintain and enhance tax accrual workpapers and documentation.
      • Manage R&D tax credit programs and identify planning opportunities to optimize federal and state tax positions. Recommend strategies for credits, deductions, and incentives aligned with manufacturing operations.
      • Serve as primary contact for IRS, state, sales & use, and property tax audits. Lead audit strategy, manage documentation, and coordinate with external advisors to resolve issues efficiently.
      • Oversee sales and use tax compliance, including reviewing filings, coordinating with internal purchasing, and working with external suppliers to resolve taxability issues.
      • Support international tax compliance and cross-border employee programs, including payroll coordination, filings, residency certificates, foreign tax withholding, and VAT obligations.
      • Oversee tax depreciation and fixed asset reporting for book and tax purposes. Serve as tax subject matter expert for ERP systems, supporting implementations and system enhancements.
      • Identify opportunities to enhance tax processes, strengthen internal controls, and improve reporting. Collaborate with internal teams and external advisors to implement solutions effectively.

      • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or another related field from an accredited institution.
      • Minimum eight years of corporate tax experience, ideally including a mix of public accounting and industry roles with multi-entity, multi-state, and international exposure.
      • Strong technical expertise in federal, multi-state, and international taxation, including ASC 740 and FIN 48.
      • Hands-on experience preparing corporate income tax returns for multi-entity organizations.
      • Experience managing IRS, state, sales & use, and property tax audits.
      • Experience managing international tax compliance, including withholding and VAT obligations.
      • Familiarity with ERP systems and tax software (IFS, SAGE Fixed Assets, OneSource Express RS is a plus).
      • Strong communication, leadership, and project management skills, with the ability to operate both strategically and tactically.
