Reporting to the Vice President of Development, the Post-Award Grants Administrator is responsible for stewarding awarded grants from foundation, corporate, and private funders in support of ASYMCA programs serving military service members and their families.
This role ensures that all grant-funded initiatives are executed with excellence—meeting and exceeding funder expectations, delivering measurable impact, and strengthening long-term funder relationships. The Post-Award Grants Administrator works across departments to align program delivery, financial stewardship, and impact reporting with awarded grant objectives. 

Salary commensurate with experience $85-90K. 


Key Responsibilities
Post-Award Grant Stewardship & Performance
  • Manage the full lifecycle of awarded grants, ensuring programs deliver on—and exceed—approved goals, outcomes, and impact metrics.
  • Interpret grant agreements and translate requirements into actionable guidance for program teams.
  • Monitor program performance and progress toward outcomes, proactively identifying opportunities to enhance impact and strengthen results.
  • Develop and maintain grant timelines, benchmarks, and reporting calendars.
Financial Coordination & Accountability
  • Partner with Finance to monitor grant budgets, ensuring responsible stewardship and alignment with approved spending plans.
  • Track expenditures and performance against budgets, identifying trends, opportunities, and risks.
  • Contribute to high-quality financial and narrative reports that reflect both accountability and impact.
  • Support audit readiness and maintain accurate documentation of grant activities.
Program & Funder Engagement
  • Serve as a strategic partner to program staff, supporting effective implementation of grant-funded services.
  • Collaborate with program teams to collect data, outcomes, and success stories that demonstrate impact for military families.
  • Act as a primary liaison with funders, helping to strengthen relationships through proactive communication and strong reporting.
  • Support onboarding and training of staff on grant expectations, tools, and best practices.
Data Management & Impact Reporting
  • Maintain grant records, tracking systems, and reporting tools to support accuracy and transparency.
  • Develop and refine systems for capturing program outcomes and demonstrating return on investment.
  • Analyze data to inform decision-making, improve program effectiveness, and strengthen future funding opportunities.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with Development to align awarded grants with proposal strategies and future funding opportunities.
  • Partner with Communications to develop compelling impact narratives, donor reports, and stewardship materials.
  • Coordinate with Finance, Programs, and Operations to ensure alignment between funding commitments and service delivery.
  • Collaborate across ASYMCA branches and national teams to promote consistency and best practices in grants management.

Qualifications
Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nonprofit Management, Business, Communications, or related field AND a minimum of 5  years of experience in grants management, with a focus on post-award administration OR equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience working with foundation, corporate, or private grant funding.
Preferred
  • Experience in a mission-driven or nonprofit organization, particularly those serving military or family programs.
  • Familiarity with outcome measurement, evaluation, and impact reporting.
  • Experience with grants management systems or donor databases.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Knowledge of grant lifecycle management, reporting standards, and funder expectations.
  • Strong writing and editing skills, particularly for donor-facing reports.
  • Ability to analyze program and financial data to tell a clear and compelling impact story.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple grants simultaneously.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment
  • Office-based with potential for hybrid flexibility.
  • Occasional travel to ASYMCA branches or partner sites as needed.
  • Flexibility required during peak reporting periods.
