At ATB, we exist to make it possible for our clients, team members and communities. Our purpose is more than aspirational. It's a real commitment we live every day through our values (what we call the ATB ID).
Life at ATB is about more than work. In fact, we’re consistently recognized as one of Canada's top employers thanks to our high-care, high-performance culture, upheld by the three commitments we make to our team members:
Impact in action: No matter where you are in the organization, you're empowered to make an impact in the lives of our clients and communities.
Thrive together: We want you—the unique, authentic you—to feel safe and celebrated at work. We're on a continuous journey to build the most flexible and inclusive programs.
Ready for tomorrow: We want to enable your success through interesting and challenging work, performance enablement, and learning and development.
## About the Role
Please note: This is a temporary 18 month term opportunity. This position has a hybrid work arrangement. On average, this means 1-2 on-site per week. Please note that this is subject to change due to business priorities.
As ATB’s next Change Management Specialist, you will mature our Enterprise Change Practice and drive data-led value realization. You will architect practice frameworks, measure organizational change capacity, and provide adaptable change enablement for strategic initiatives. This is a unique opportunity to build scalable infrastructure while delivering hands-on, high-impact project support.
## Accountabilities
* Practice Evolution: Mature the enterprise change practice by integrating standardized methodologies into the project lifecycle. Enable scalable, consultative change models by developing tiered toolkits and refining core operational processes (e.g., partnership frameworks, transition-to-business protocols).
* Portfolio & Capacity: Monitor change ‘hot spots’ across the Enterprise to more effectively manage change fatigue by designing and launching the next evolution of the Change Outlook Report.
* Measurement & Storytelling: Establish baseline adoption metrics and enterprise value frameworks. Translate complex portfolio data into compelling executive narratives that demonstrate value, adoption, and ongoing change maturity.
* Adaptable Enablement: Act as a flexible change enabler, providing project execution or consultative support as strategic priorities evolve.
* Change Execution: Coordinate and drive comprehensive change strategies, conduct impact and risk assessments, and execute tactical plans to realize value.
* Strategic Advisement: Partner with cross-functional leadership to develop future-state approaches and reach strategic milestones in a matrixed environment.
## Skills, Experience & Requirements
Accreditations:
* Bachelor's degree in management, communications, organizational behaviour, data analytics, or a related field.
* Change certification in an industry-accepted methodology (e.g., CCMP, Prosci (preferred), IDEO U).
Core Technical Skills:
* Change Management Frameworks: Experience in the design and application of change processes, templates, and tools across a large enterprise.
* Metrics & Measurement: Expertise in defining success measures, tracking adoption rates, and evaluating the impact of change initiatives.
* Data & Reporting: Proficiency with visual reporting (e.g., dashboards, heat maps) to monitor organizational change capacity.
* Project Integration: Deep understanding of seamlessly integrating change management into standard project lifecycles and Agile environments.
* Change Execution: Background in impact assessment, risk identification, and comprehensive change strategy execution across a flexible portfolio.
Interpersonal and Leadership Skills:
* Communication & Storytelling: Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to tailor messaging for diverse audiences and translate complex metrics into compelling executive narratives.
* Influence & Advisement: Capacity to act as a trusted advisor, guiding senior leaders and gaining support through relationship-building and deep expertise.
* Stakeholder Collaboration: Track record of building cross-team partnerships, managing competing priorities, and aligning groups on shared goals.
* Empathy & Resistance Management: Strong grasp of end-user impacts, with the skills to manage resistance and proactively mitigate change fatigue.
Don’t meet all the requirements on the list?
A resume only goes so far in expressing who you are and the unique perspectives you bring. If you believe your skills and experience align with the role—but you might not check all the boxes—we want to hear from you. We encourage candidates from all work backgrounds, equity-seeking communities and experience levels to apply. If you’re seeking a career where your drive, perspective and growth are celebrated, we want to hear from you.
We’re dedicated to building a workforce reflective of those within our communities, and a culture where our team members are equipped with what they need to succeed—their way. Part of creating an inclusive workplace is recognizing our role in advancing Truth and Reconciliation. We are committed to meeting and exceeding the standards set out in the Partnership Accreditation in Indigenous Relations program created by the Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business.
