On average, this means 2 days on-site per week in the Calgary/Edmonton office. Please note that this is subject to change due to business priorities. As ATB’s next Compliance Assurance Analyst, you will work as a key contributor in ATB’s second line of defense, reporting to the Director of Compliance Assurance working collaboratively with both first and second line of defense team members. This role serves a key function to support and enable risk governance related to Compliance Assurance, Data Privacy and Operational Risk. ## Accountabilities # Key Responsibilities * Supports the development and implementation of compliance assurance programs across various domain areas, with instruction from senior team members. * Serves as an administrator for the Material non-Public Information Program, leveraging MyComplianceOffice(MCO) to monitor, approve, and audit personal trading activities for regulatory compliance. * Support the Privacy team, as needed (e.g. Complaint management and Access request). * Supports the ongoing assurance of control effectiveness through review and challenge of testing evidence. * Support the ongoing maturity of the Compliance Assurance program. * Support the implementation and continuous improvement of GRC initiatives (e.g., MetricStream; MCO) to drive automation and data-driven insights into the compliance program. * Supports the execution of operational and compliance risk framework and programs within ATB. * Supports the implementation of a unified Regulatory Compliance Management/ Risk & Control Self-Assessment (RCM/RCSA) testing program. * Supports the assessment of current and emerging operational loss and near miss events, and the related risks across domain areas; requires support, guidance, and instruction from more senior team members to complete qualitative and quantitative assessment * Distill compliance issues and incidents into clear, actionable recommendations for senior leadership, balancing risk management with strategic objectives. # Observable Behaviours * Demonstrates problem solving, analytical, systems thinking and stakeholder engagement skills * Implements risk management process improvements for a superior client experience * High attention to detail, ability to manage multiple administrative deadlines * Completes most tasks with limited instruction * Strong verbal and written communication skills * Issues management prioritization and ability to influence ## Skills, experience & requirements # Distinctive Skills * Risk Management fundamentals * Enterprise Risk & Control Self Assessments (RCSA) * Risk Policy, procedure and process governance * Knowledge of OSFI regulatory requirements # Accreditation * Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, Risk Management, or equivalent is required. Professional certification (like CRMA, CIA) is desirable - completed or In-lieu. * 3+ years of high-performance experience in assurance, risk assessment and mitigation, internal controls, or audit. * Working knowledge in supported organizational software and upkeep.
