At ATB, we exist to make it possible for our clients, team members and communities. Our purpose is more than aspirational. It's a real commitment we live every day through our values (what we call the ATB ID).
Life at ATB is about more than work. In fact, we’re consistently recognized as one of Canada's top employers thanks to our high-care, high-performance culture, upheld by the three commitments we make to our team members:
Impact in action: No matter where you are in the organization, you're empowered to make an impact in the lives of our clients and communities.
Thrive together: We want you—the unique, authentic you—to feel safe and celebrated at work. We're on a continuous journey to build the most flexible and inclusive programs.
Ready for tomorrow: We want to enable your success through interesting and challenging work, performance enablement, and learning and development.
## About the Role
At ATB Financial, we believe that great leadership is a practice and it’s intentionally designed and hardwired into our organizational DNA. We are looking for a Director of Leadership Enablement to be the chief architect of our enterprise leadership system. This isn't a role for maintaining the status quo; it is a mission to professionalize leadership as a strategic system that drives the One ATB standard, ensuring excellence across the business. You will lead a high-performing team on a pivotal journey, moving our organization from foundational awareness to hardwired high-performance, high care practices. This role is about ensuring that every ATB leader masters the essential skills, behaviours, and practices needed to lead people, drive business performance, and shape ATB’s future. If you are passionate about powering possibilities through people and living systems, and you thrive in a team that values authenticity and growth, then this is your next leadership challenge.
## Accountabilities
As the Director, you won't just manage programs - you will define the capability of our leadership across the enterprise to shape our future. Your key accountabilities include:
* Lead with Strategic Precision: Guide and mentor a specialized team of leadership development experts. You will execute our leadership development strategy, proactively scaling program offerings to deliver the highest-value results that meet critical business needs.
* Architect our Leadership Talent Lifecycle: Champion the complete integration of our Leader DNA framework into every critical moment of the team member experience - from how we attract and onboard top talent to how we enable performance and development.
* Drive Executive Mastery and Certification and Accreditation: Oversee and scale best-in-class certification programs, including the Leader DNA x University of Alberta Certification and the Mastery Leader DNA Certification (MLDNA) program for our leadership as a professional accreditation. Your focus will be maintaining a rigorous bar for leadership strength and measurable behaviour change.
* Revolutionize Learning and Development: Move beyond traditional classroom structures by shifting the Leadership Academy from broad curriculum to agile, skill-based living systems. You will prioritize community-based learning to embed support and development directly within a leader's daily workflow.
* Measure Leadership as a Business Practice: Design and implement cutting-edge measurement frameworks that quantify the business impact of leadership development. Your work will directly correlate leadership proficiency with organizational efficiency and measurable financial performance.
## Knowledge, Skills and Experience
We are looking for a senior leader ready to make a significant impact from day one. You are exemplary at leading people and will bring a distinct blend of deep technical knowledge, strategic business sense, and executive-level influence.
* A Proven Leadership Architect: You have a minimum of 7 years of deep experience in corporate learning or Leadership Development, with at least 5 years successfully leading specialized teams in a complex matrix environment. Expertise in Prosci Change Management or CCMP is preferred to effectively drive large-scale organizational change.
* The Power of Coaching and Influence: You possess an active Professional Coaching Certification (e.g., ICF - ACC/PCC/MCC), demonstrating your ability to execute deep-dive executive development and performance interventions. Your approach to Influence and Stakeholder Management is exceptional and critical for success in a Matrix Environment.
* Strategic and Systems Thinker: You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Development, Human Resources, or Business (Master’s degree preferred). You are skilled in systems thinking and apply strong business acumen to solve complex problems and drive business goals.
* Mastery in Execution and Analysis: You are an expert at defining the path forward through business acumen and strategic problem solving. This is coupled with a focus on disciplined program oversight, including project delivery, planning and steering, and the ability to apply critical thinking to manage complex deliverables.
* Dynamic and Collaborative Leadership: Your strength lies in leading through complexity, which includes superior prioritization and managing expectations. You excel at fostering success through specialist teaming and cross-functional teaming, and demonstrate high adaptability and mastery of both verbal and written communication to align diverse partners.
* Champion of Culture and Community: You embed our culture into every strategic initiative. You are a trusted partner, known for transparent communication and active listening, and recognize the importance of the employee experience lifecycle and health and wellness in driving high performance.

This position has a hybrid work arrangement. On average, this means at least 1 day on-site per week. Please note that this is subject to change due to business priorities.
