The Chesapeake Baysox are seeking a motivated, energetic, and results-oriented Sr. Manager, Corporate Partnerships to drive sponsorship revenue and support the continued growth of the organization’s corporate partnership department. This individual will be responsible for generating new business, managing the renewal of existing corporate partnerships, and delivering exceptional service to Baysox partners.
The ideal candidate is a relationship builder who enjoys prospecting, networking, and creating customized marketing solutions that help businesses achieve their goals while supporting the Chesapeake Baysox. This position plays a vital role in the organization’s revenue generation efforts and will work closely with the Director, Corporate Partnerships, to execute the department’s overall strategy.
The Sr. Manager, Corporate Partnerships, reports directly to the Director, Corporate Partnerships.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- Generate new corporate partnership revenue through proactive prospecting, networking, and business development efforts.
- Identify, develop, and close sponsorship opportunities across all Baysox assets, including signage, promotions, digital media, hospitality, community programs, and experiential marketing platforms.
- Conduct sales meetings, presentations, and proposal development with prospective partners.
- Maintain an active sales pipeline and consistently achieve individual revenue goals.
- Develop customized partnership packages that align with client objectives and organizational priorities.
- Utilize CRM systems to track prospecting activity, sales opportunities, and account management efforts.
- Manage a portfolio of corporate partners and serve as the primary contact for assigned accounts.
- Ensure all partnership elements are executed accurately and on schedule.
- Conduct regular communication with partners to maintain strong relationships and identify opportunities for growth.
- Lead renewal and upselling strategies for assigned accounts.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and support throughout the partnership lifecycle.
- Actively participate in networking events, community functions, chamber events, and other business development opportunities throughout the region.
- Serve as a representative of the Chesapeake Baysox within the local business community.
- Develop relationships with decision-makers across a variety of industries.
- Identify new revenue opportunities and potential partnership categories.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure successful execution of partnership agreements.
- Assist with gameday and event-related partner fulfillment activities.
- Support sponsor hospitality programs and partner engagement initiatives.
- Help create recap materials and reporting that demonstrate partnership value and return on investment.
- Work closely with ticket sales, marketing, community relations, game presentation, and operations departments.
- Assist the Director, Corporate Partnerships with departmental initiatives, inventory management, and strategic planning.
- Contribute to a positive, collaborative, and revenue-focused culture within the organization.
Requirements
~1 min read- Bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in corporate partnerships, sponsorship sales, ticket sales, advertising sales, media sales, business development, or a related field.
- Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Demonstrated ability to prospect and generate new business opportunities.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and competitive drive.
- Ability to work nights, weekend, and holidays as required by the baseball schedule.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM platforms.
- Experience working in professional sports, collegiate athletics, media, entertainment, or related industries.
- Existing business relationships within the Maryland and Washington, D.C. region.
- Experience managing corporate accounts and sponsorship fulfillment.
- New business partnership revenue generated.
- Sponsorship renewal and retention rates.

Attain Partners is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The individual base salary for this position is unique to each candidate and will be commensurate with experience, education, and skills. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for commission upon achieving set metrics.
