Responsibilities
 
  • Assist with Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) investigations, including electromagnetic (EM) locating, ground penetrating radar (GPR), utility tracing, marking, and data collection.
  • Support Quality Level Investigations (QL-D through QL-A) and verify utility locations in accordance with ASCE 38-22 standards.
  • Assist with surveying activities, including topographic surveys, construction layout, as-built surveys, boundary surveys, leveling, traversing, and profile/cross-section surveys.
  • Maintain SUE and survey equipment through cleaning, calibration, and preventative maintenance.
  • Prepare and organize field equipment and vehicles for daily operations.
  • Record accurate field notes and documentation following established procedures and quality standards.
  • Perform physical field tasks such as line clearing, setting monuments, locating underground utilities, and pounding stakes.
  • Adhere to company and site-specific health and safety requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with Crew Chiefs, Project
