About This Position

About the Position:
The IT Supervisor Senior will oversee the daily operations for small to medium, moderately complex IT work groups that support City of Austin Police and Forensic Science. This role provides advanced technical leadership to ensure the reliability and security of critical Public Safety applications and systems. The IT Supervisor Senior also leads coordination with customers, vendors, other City departments, and project teams to support operational upgrades, new implementations, and compliance with security and disaster recovery requirements. The role also provides full supervisory oversight of assigned IT staff, including selection, training, evaluation, coaching, and performance management. The IT Supervisor Senior is also responsible for improving operations, decreasing turnaround times and streamlining processes to provide the best quality customer service to Police and Forensic Science.

Responsibilities

→Experience managing large scale critical Public Safety or enterprise applications including multiple mission critical departments/customers.
→Experience working in environments with criminal-justice information (CJI), sensitive data, or other highly regulated systems.
→Experience developing, coaching, mentoring, and managing an information technology team.

Standard Business hours. This position is primarily remote; however, onsite presence is required as operational needs determine. Must reside in the state of Texas.
