The CEO will be responsible for driving AvadaPay’s strategic vision, ensuring financial growth, expanding market presence, and strengthening relationships with key stakeholders, including regulators, investors, and business partners. The ideal candidate is a dynamic leader with deep expertise in fintech, digital payments, and financial services, particularly in emerging markets.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a strategic roadmap to scale AvadaPay across Africa and the broader MEA region.

  • Identify new revenue opportunities, partnerships, and market trends to drive sustainable growth.

  • Strengthen AvadaPay’s positioning as a key player in digital payments and financial technology.

  • Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and overall P&L management to ensure profitability.

  • Lead investment strategies, funding rounds, and capital allocation to support expansion.

  • Implement cost-efficiency measures while optimizing revenue streams.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with banks, financial regulators, investors, and other key stakeholders.

  • Secure high-value strategic partnerships to enhance AvadaPay’s payment ecosystem.

  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and licensing requirements across operational regions.

  • Drive product innovation and digital transformation initiatives.

  • Stay ahead of industry advancements, including blockchain, AI, and embedded finance, to maintain a competitive edge.

  • Oversee risk management and compliance to align with industry best practices.

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing executive team.

  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and results-driven execution.

  • Ensure alignment between business objectives and organizational capabilities.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a CEO, Managing Director, or Senior Executive in fintech, payments, or financial services.

  • Strong expertise in the digital payments ecosystem, financial regulations, and cross-border transactions.

  • A track record of scaling businesses, driving revenue growth, and leading strategic partnerships.

  • Experience managing multi-country operations, particularly in Africa.

  • Strong financial acumen in P&L management, fundraising, and investment strategy.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Bilingual proficiency in English and French .
