This opportunity is with a major financial services organization supporting information security within a highly regulated banking environment. The team plays a critical role in protecting enterprise systems, strengthening cyber risk controls, and ensuring secure access practices across business and technology functions. This role sits within an operations and technology services group focused on maintaining strong security governance, consistent access controls, and effective incident response support.
This is a remote contract opportunity supporting a structured cybersecurity and information security function. The role offers exposure to enterprise security operations, access management, policy implementation, and risk/control documentation within a banking environment.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of cybersecurity policies, procedures, and security control practices.
- Manage user administration activities, including defining, granting, reviewing, and removing system access based on employee role and job function.
- Assist with access entitlement reviews and account management processes to help ensure appropriate system access.
- Document risk, control, and technical information to support consistent cybersecurity program management.
- Monitor security systems and assist with incident response activities as needed.
- Support risk assessments and contribute to the identification, documentation, and escalation of potential security issues.
- 5–7 years of relevant experience in IT security, cybersecurity operations, access administration, identity/access management, or a closely related information security role.
- Working knowledge of security principles, user access controls, account lifecycle management, and entitlement review processes.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, or similar security/control frameworks.
- Experience documenting risk, controls, security procedures, or technical processes.
- Ability to monitor security tools or systems and support incident response activities.
- Strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and comfort working in a regulated or control-focused environment.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to partner across technology, operations, and business teams.
