Join a high-impact engineering environment focused on improving thermal system performance, controls strategy, and modeling-driven optimization across complex infrastructure or industrial systems. This team values systems thinking, cross-functional collaboration, and practical engineering judgment to improve efficiency, reliability, and operational outcomes.
This role offers the opportunity to work on advanced thermal systems where modeling, simulation, controls, and performance analysis directly influence design decisions and operational improvements. The position is well-suited for an engineer who enjoys connecting theory with real-world system behavior and partnering across engineering, controls, operations, and design teams.
- Develop, validate, and refine thermal system models to evaluate performance, efficiency, and control strategies.
- Use simulation, data analysis, and engineering fundamentals to identify optimization opportunities across thermal loops, cooling systems, and related infrastructure.
- Partner with controls, mechanical, electrical, and operations teams to translate system behavior into actionable performance improvements.
- Analyze system-level tradeoffs involving capacity, efficiency, stability, reliability, and operational constraints.
- Support troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives for thermal system performance.
- Communicate modeling results, assumptions, risks, and recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience in thermal systems engineering, mechanical systems, controls, modeling, simulation, or performance optimization.
- Strong understanding of heat transfer, thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, HVAC/cooling systems, or thermal-fluid systems.
- Hands-on experience building or using system models, simulations, digital twins, or performance analysis tools.
- Familiarity with controls concepts, control logic, system response, feedback loops, and optimization strategies.
- Ability to evaluate system behavior at both component and integrated-system levels.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience with tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, Modelica, Python, EnergyPlus, CFD tools, or similar modeling/simulation platforms is preferred.
- Background in data centers, industrial facilities, building systems, energy systems, or mission-critical infrastructure is a plus.
