Thermal Systems Lead Engineer, Electrical & Power #3612559
Quick Summary
Be Part Of A High-Performing Team: Join an engineering team focused on advanced electrical and thermal systems for mission-critical, high-power environments.
Join an engineering team focused on advanced electrical and thermal systems for mission-critical, high-power environments. This role supports complex infrastructure where reliability, power density, and thermal performance are essential, particularly in data center and heavy industrial settings. The team operates in a highly technical environment that values strong electrical expertise, practical systems thinking, and the ability to lead design decisions across cross-functional engineering groups.
This opportunity offers the chance to lead high-impact thermal and electrical systems work tied to advanced power infrastructure. The role is well-suited for an engineer who wants ownership of complex system-level design challenges involving high-voltage DC power, equipment integration, cooling strategy, and performance optimization in demanding operating environments.
- Lead thermal systems engineering efforts for electrical and power infrastructure supporting data center and heavy industrial applications.
- Drive engineering decisions related to 800VDC power systems, thermal performance, system integration, and equipment reliability.
- Partner with electrical, mechanical, controls, facilities, and operations teams to ensure designs meet performance, safety, and uptime requirements.
- Evaluate system architecture, component selection, heat rejection strategies, and electrical power distribution impacts on thermal performance.
- Support design reviews, technical trade studies, risk assessments, and engineering documentation for complex power and thermal systems.
- Serve as a technical lead for troubleshooting, optimization, and continuous improvement of high-power infrastructure systems.
- Proven experience in thermal systems engineering, electrical power systems, or closely related high-power infrastructure environments.
- Strong electrical expertise, particularly with high-voltage or high-current systems.
- Experience with data center, heavy industrial, utility-scale, manufacturing, or mission-critical facility environments.
- Working knowledge of 800VDC systems or comparable high-voltage DC power architecture.
- Ability to evaluate thermal impacts of electrical equipment, power conversion, distribution, cooling systems, and infrastructure layouts.
- Strong cross-functional leadership skills with the ability to guide design direction and communicate technical tradeoffs clearly.
- Experience supporting design reviews, system integration, commissioning, troubleshooting, or reliability improvement efforts.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Thermal Engineering, or a related technical discipline preferred.
