This team supports municipal drinking water and wastewater projects across the Southeast, with an emphasis on quality, collaboration, technical excellence, and long-term community impact. The work directly contributes to cleaner water systems, safer public infrastructure, and resilient environments for communities throughout Georgia and South Carolina.
This is a full-time opportunity based in Augusta, Georgia, supporting meaningful water and wastewater infrastructure projects for municipal clients. The role offers the opportunity to contribute technical design expertise while working alongside experienced engineering professionals in a collaborative, community-focused environment. Local candidates are preferred, though candidates willing to relocate to the Augusta area may also be considered.
- Support planning, study, design, construction administration, and start-up services for water and wastewater treatment utility projects.
- Serve as a technical designer on municipal drinking water and wastewater infrastructure projects across Georgia and South Carolina.
- Prepare engineering calculations, equipment sizing and selections, technical specifications, reports, cost estimates, schedules, and other project deliverables.
- Apply appropriate engineering design methods to ensure work meets applicable standards, client requirements, and project goals.
- Conduct QA/QC reviews of project documents to confirm accuracy of data, calculations, specifications, and design information.
- Collaborate closely with internal team members, project stakeholders, and clients with professionalism, responsiveness, and attention to detail.
- Assist with proposals, business development, and marketing efforts as needed to support continued growth of the water/wastewater practice.
- 5+ years of experience with municipal or industrial water/wastewater systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Registered PE license or close to obtaining PE licensure in Georgia; South Carolina licensure is preferred.
- Strong technical background in utility design, including water and wastewater treatment systems.
- Working knowledge of technical specifications and project documentation.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative work style.
- Local to Augusta, Georgia, or willing to relocate.
- Master’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline is preferred.
- Experience with alternative project delivery methods is preferred.
- Existing relationships with utilities or other water/wastewater industry stakeholders are a plus.
