At Axon, we’re on a mission to Protect Life. We’re explorers, pursuing society’s most critical safety and justice issues with our ecosystem of devices and cloud software. Like our products, we work better together. We connect with candor and care, seeking out diverse perspectives from our customers, communities and each other.

Life at Axon is fast-paced, challenging and meaningful. Here, you’ll take ownership and drive real change. Constantly grow as you work hard for a mission that matters at a company where you matter.

Axon 911 brings together Prepared and Carbyne under Axon. Together, we are creating the only platform that combines modern 911 infrastructure with an AI intelligence layer—helping public safety agencies move faster, make better decisions, and deliver better outcomes in the moments that matter most.

911 is the backbone of public safety, yet the professionals behind it have long been held back by outdated technology. Axon 911 is here to change that. Joining this team means more than taking a job—it means helping shape the future of emergency response and building a safer, more connected world.

Axon 911 is looking for a highly strategic and execution-oriented Product Marketing leader to help unify the Prepared and Carbyne brands into a single category-defining public safety platform. This role will play a foundational part in shaping how the market, customers, and internal teams understand Axon 911’s products, positioning, and value proposition.

You’ll operate at the center of product, marketing, sales, enablement, and executive leadership to help define the next chapter of emergency response technology. This is a highly visible role with significant ownership, executive partnership, and the opportunity to build the product marketing foundation for a rapidly scaling business.

Responsibilities

  • Help continue leading the brand and messaging unification of Prepared and Carbyne into Axon 911, ensuring a clear and differentiated market narrative.
  • Own product positioning, messaging frameworks, launch strategy, release cadence, and go-to-market coordination across a growing portfolio of products within the Axon 911 portfolio.
  • Partner closely with the Product Management team to deeply understand product capabilities and translate technical concepts into clear customer-facing messaging.
  • Work across the business to create and maintain enablement materials, sales narratives, launch assets, and product marketing collateral that support field sales and customer success teams.
  • Drive cross-functional alignment between product, sales, marketing, enablement, and executive leadership around how Axon 911 communicates its value to the market.
  • Build foundational product marketing systems, processes, and operational rhythms that will scale alongside the company.
  • Write and refine high-impact copy across launches, campaigns, product narratives, and brand storytelling.
  • Serve as a strategic thought partner to leadership while also remaining highly hands-on in execution.
  • 5–10 years of experience in product marketing, go-to-market strategy, brand positioning, or related GTM-focused roles.
  • Experience operating as a highly autonomous or sole product marketer within a lean or high-growth environment.
  • Demonstrated success leading a rebrand, repositioning initiative, acquisition integration, or major brand transformation.
  • Strong experience partnering cross-functionally with Product, Sales, Enablement, and Executive stakeholders.
  • Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, including experience writing product messaging, launch content, and customer-facing collateral.
  • Experience working in competitive markets where positioning, differentiation, and market education were critical.
  • Comfortable operating as both a strategic leader and hands-on individual contributor.
  • Strong ownership mindset with the ability to independently identify gaps, drive alignment, and execute with urgency.
  • We believe this role requires someone who is highly adaptable and comfortable “translating” between technical product teams, customer-facing teams, and executive stakeholders.
