Production Tech I

The Production Technician is responsible for properly performing activities relative to assisting the extrusion operator in efficiently operating the extrusion equipment and producing quality products within a large, 24/7 manufacturing environment.

• →Contribute to accident-free operations and compliance to all health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements and regulations.
• →Assist the department in producing a quality product based upon product specifications; complete production operator reports with high attention to detail.
• →Monitor, complete, and document quality checks to assure quality of the products (color, surface, size, etc.) meets product standards prior to packaging, as required.
• →Perform placement of pallets, proper packaging techniques, and attach labels for finished material according to process instructions and product specifications.
• →Communicate daily issues and pertinent information to production assistants, assistant operators, operators and team leaders as needed.
• →Understand and follow all company policies, practices, and procedures.
• →Perform housekeeping duties in the production area.

• High School or GED required
• 1+ years of manufacturing experience, preferred; however, no prior experience is necessary.
• Ability to read, write, and understand the English language. Basic mathematical proficiency in the addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of whole numbers and fractions.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, read gauges and use similar measuring devices.
• Ability to perform the physical demands of the job including: Push / Pull / Lift / Manipulate 10lbs – 100lbs.
• Ability to stand for complete shift; kneeling, lifting overhead, bending climbing and crawling are often required.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment where temperatures that can become very hot depending on the weather.
• Must be self-directed and motivated and able to multi-task in fast-paced, 24/7 manufacturing environment.

• Ability and interest in working a 2-2-3 schedule.
