Your focus will be on leading the development of external and internal Data Products around Sustainability processes, ESG KPIs and company strategic goals in accordance with reporting frameworks, regulator guidance and internal subject matter experts. As part of our team, you will help create data models, analyses, automation and applications which support Baker Hughes’ strategic goals and the world’s Energy Transition needs.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Specialist you will develop & own Data & AI Products created with cross-disciplinary teams typically involving large & complex data sets. These teams include Data Engineers, Subject Matter Experts, Architects, Product Managers, Data Scientists, Engineers, Supply Chain managers and Controllers across business units who you will interact with on a daily basis to specify, design, develop, test and deploy data solutions with. Example application areas include regulatory reporting, lifecycle assessment, emissions/water/waste management, human capital reporting, control and risk management for climate & transition, biodiversity, health & safety reporting.

  • Implementing and maintaining data products with automated pipelines for data processing, ingestion and consumption, ensuring governance and data quality capabilities aligned with regulatory mandates (e.g.: GDPR, SOX) and frameworks (e.g.: ISSB, GRI, ESRS, ISO).

  • Integrating critical business process with data products to support internal and external facing requirements across our operations in 100+ countries.

  • Implementing and maintaining data consumption solutions (e.g.: APIs, PowerBI Reports, Tableau Reports, Databricks AI/BI dashboards, custom applications, etc.)

  • Leading other Data Engineers and contractors in the use of best-in-class development frameworks and tools, including AI-driven automation.

  • Evaluating source data across multiple upstream systems, understanding the purpose of each system and documenting data requirements for downstream use

  • Developing semantic and knowledge layers to the data products you own with technical and functional documentation for data consumption, auditability, maintenance and operations.

Requirements

  • Have a bachelor's degree in computer science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math). A minimum of 10 years of professional experience.

  • Have a minimum of 6 years of experience with Data Engineering projects (e.g.: development of dashboards, data modelling, data processing, etc.).

  • Have a strong technical background and a proven track record for learning the best-in-class technology and development patterns.

Business Acumen:

  • Be able to deliver results when working on short-term (weeks-months), outcome-focused engagements

  • Be able to leverage external references on best-in-class technology and processes and translate that for application within our company processes and culture

  • Be able to articulate the value proposition of technology capabilities and map them to customer requirements to minimize incremental cost of development

Additional elected or voluntary benefits

For Italy: The initial pay range for this position will be EUR 51,200 To 70,400.

The provisions of Contratto Collettivo Industria Metalmeccanica e della installazione di impianti will be applied to this position. Section VI – Titolo IV of that collective bargaining agreement relates to pay.
