WHO WE ARE

At Basis, we empower agencies and brands with cutting-edge software that automates digital media operations. Our all-in-one platform supports seamless planning, reporting, and financial reconciliation across direct, programmatic, search, and social media.

We’re not just building advanced technology; we’re also building a culture where passionate, motivated individuals come together to drive meaningful change. Our commitment to inclusivity and growth ensures our employees thrive both professionally and personally.

With our headquarters in Chicago, we offer flexible work options across the U.S. and Canada, including remote, hybrid, or on-site at headquarters.

Basis Technologies' Talent and Development (T&D) team works to make our organization an engaging, inclusive home for Beeps to develop their careers and create positive change in the ad tech industry. T&D is made up of four collaborative teams: Talent Acquisition (recruits top talent for Basis), Talent Operations (provides benefits, payroll, perks, and system support for Basis), Education and Development (leads training and education for Basis employees), and Talent Strategy (supports employee experience and engagement, business partnership, professional development, management resources, and employee relations).

Collectively, T&D is determined to bring the Basis Manifesto and guiding principles to life through our culture and practices. This team cultivates Raving Fans by constantly ideating on how to ensure every current and prospective employee receives the best experience possible.

This role reports to the Director, Employee Experience and Engagement and provides administrative, operational, and program support across both the Employee Experience and Engagement and Business Partner teams. You will help create the best employee experience possible for Beeps by keeping core programs and processes organized, responsive, and running smoothly; supporting culture and community efforts; and helping managers and employees navigate day-to-day questions and needs. You will contribute by:

• Providing administrative, coordination, and day-to-day execution support across the Employee Experience and Engagement and Business Partner teams, helping recurring priorities, requests, communications, documentation, and follow-ups move forward consistently.

• Serving as a first line of support for routine Employee Experience and Engagement and Business Partner requests, including monitoring Workday Help, supporting manager office hours, answering day-to-day questions, providing guidance on policies and people processes, triaging matters to the appropriate team member, tracking requests, and ensuring timely follow-through.

• Providing a trusted venue for employees to ask questions, share feedback, and express concerns, while escalating sensitive or complex matters when appropriate.

• Coordinating recurring employee lifecycle and people-process work, including voluntary offboarding, exit interviews, leave of absence documentation and follow-through, Workday transactions and tasks, Workday testing, and tracker maintenance, in partnership with the appropriate T&D teams.

• Supporting employee listening efforts, including employee check-ins and focus groups as needed, and helping identify and share themes that can inform the employee experience.

• Identifying themes from exit interviews, employee check-ins, listening efforts, and routine requests, and sharing regular insights with the Employee Experience and Engagement and Business Partner teams.

• Guiding employees and managers on growth opportunities for themselves and their teams, with a focus on enhancing performance and supporting employee engagement and retention.

• Providing execution and administrative support for key talent processes, including performance reviews, talent assessments, merit cycles, talent movement, retention efforts, communications, documentation, reporting, meeting coordination, scheduling, and general process administration.

• Supporting the execution and administration of employee experience and culture programs such as Basis Bravo, Basis Cares, recognition initiatives, mentorship programs, Workhuman administration, culture campaigns, and other recurring engagement efforts.

• Helping bring Basis culture and community to life through Basis Neighborhood Networks, HQ Week, employee appreciation efforts, events, resource creation, communications, and other activities that strengthen connection, recognition, and belonging across the organization.

• Partnering across T&D to brainstorm, plan, coordinate, communicate, execute, and sustain programs with a high level of quality and consistency.

• Jumping in on projects and miscellaneous team needs with curiosity, flexibility, and an eagerness to learn. We are looking for someone who is excited to help with anything and everything!

• Trustworthiness and discretion with confidential and sensitive information.

• Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and credibility with employees and managers.

• Strong judgment and the ability to recognize when a question or concern should be escalated.

• Ability to manage time across reactive requests, recurring responsibilities, and proactive priorities as they arise.

• Strong attention to detail, organization, follow-through, and commitment to high-quality execution.

• Clear, thoughtful written and verbal communication skills.

• Solid work ethic and an unfaltering positive attitude.

• Ability to remain curious and focused even when the situation is ambiguous.

• Ability to work autonomously and at a fast pace; initiative and results focused.

• Proficiency using Microsoft Office and Outlook; comfort learning and working within HR systems and tools.

• Commitment to creating inclusive, respectful environments where all voices are valued and supported.

• Thoughtful approach to collaboration, program execution, and decision-making that prioritizes equity, access, and continuous learning.

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; associate degree in business, Human Resource Management, a related field, or equivalent education and experience.

• Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or SHRM certification preferred.

• Two or more years of experience in Human Resources, employee experience, employee relations, people program administration, program coordination, or a related field preferred.

• Previous experience with Workday, Workhuman, employee lifecycle processes, or people program administration preferred.
