Head Duty Manager - Fixed Term (INTERNAL ONLY)

Bay Catering is on the lookout for a dynamic and experienced Head Duty Manager to lead our catering operations across multiple venues for a fixed term (11 months). The role:
•    Oversee food and beverage services across Bay Venues, ensuring top-tier service and operational efficiency.
•    Lead and support Duty Managers and waitstaff, fostering a positive and professional team culture.
•    Manage stock levels, cleanliness, and compliance with the Sale of Liquor Act.
•    Collaborate on event-based rosters and conduct weekly catering meetings.
•    Ensure quality control across all service items and maintain high presentation standards.
•    Handle customer feedback and complaints with professionalism and care.
•    Uphold Bay Venues’ values of Service, Relationships, Caring, and Excellence in everything you do.

To be successful in this role you must:

Essential:
•    Licence Controller Qualification (LCQ) and eligibility for a Duty Manager’s licence.
•    Experience in hospitality/catering and managing staff.
•    Strong understanding of the Sale of Liquor Act and host responsibility.
•    Proven organisational skills and ability to lead under pressure.
•    Basic competency in Microsoft Office.

Desirable:
•    Experience in large-scale events.
•    Hospitality or food & beverage qualifications.
