Buckland is looking for a Reconciliation Manager, Senior   What you’ll be doing The Senior Reconciliation Manager is responsible for managing Free Trade Agreement (FTA) and Value Reconciliation programs, including Post Summary Corrections under 19 U.S.C. §1520(d) (520(d)). This role oversees the end-to-end preparation, analysis, and submission of reconciliation claims to U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, including 19 CFR §141.61 and 19 CFR Part 181. The position requires strong technical expertise in FTA eligibility, valuation principles, and reconciliation processes, along with the ability to analyze data, prepare filings, and manage post-filing activities such as payments, adjustments, and documentation. The role also supports the development of SOPs, KPIs, and client deliverables. This individual will work directly with clients and internal teams to identify opportunities, gather and assess required data, and ensure accurate and timely claim submission and follow-up with CBP. Lead the preparation, calculation, and filing of reconciliation entries and Post Summary Corrections (PSC) under 19 U.S.C. §1520(d) (520(d)). Analyze FTA eligibility and valuation data, including review of certificates of origin, bills of material, assists, and supporting documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Apply CBP regulations, including 19 CFR Part 181 and 19 CFR §141.61, to ensure accurate and compliant reconciliation filings. Ensure timely follow-up with client contacts to obtain required documentation, including import entry data, payment details, inventory records, export data, and bills of material. Validate and reconcile import, financial, and operational data to support claim accuracy, including variance analysis, issue identification, and resolution. Coordinate with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to gather, review, and assess documentation required to support reconciliation claims and audit readiness. Prepare and submit reconciliation claims through applicable systems (e.g., ACE) and manage all related follow-up activities with CBP. Oversee post-filing activities, including tracking liquidations, payments, refunds, and adjustments, and resolving discrepancies with CBP and stakeholders. Develop, maintain, and enhance standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and compliance documentation; assist in drafting processes and creating reports as needed. Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure timely filings, accuracy, and overall program performance. Utilize third-party and company systems to organize, track, and manage workload in accordance with client and internal procedures. Identify program opportunities and provide recommendations to clients to optimize duty savings, improve data integrity, and strengthen compliance outcomes. Maintain strong client and vendor relationships through consistent, professional communication and effective issue resolution. Perform as an integral member of the Compliance team, collaborating across functions to ensure successful project execution and alignment with regulatory requirements. Participate in client meetings, internal reviews, and cross-functional initiatives to support program delivery and continuous improvement. Provide training, guidance, and subject matter expertise to team members and clients as needed. Support billing and invoicing processes associated with reconciliation services.   Leadership Responsibilities Ability to manage a group of +20 employees. Conduct performance evaluations for direct reports. Hire and Terminate employees. Assign tasks to team members. Assists with training and guidance of direct reports. Monitor work volumes of direct reports. Supervise team members, conduct team meetings, monitor attendance, and work schedules What we need from you High school diploma or equivalent College degree (preferred) LCB (preferred) Minimum of 5 years of FTA and Value Reconciliation experience (preferred) Working knowledge of Microsoft Office with strong Excel, Access and/or preferably Power BI skills Strong oral and written communication skills Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Solid analytical skills with an emphasis on accuracy Strong team player with ability to work independently Must be legally eligible to work for the Company at all times. Valid Passport and ability and desire to occasionally travel if required to other offices locations in CND/USA/MX
