Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of workers involved in shoring, drilling, piling, grouting, rigging, and related foundation construction tasks.
  • Plan daily field operations in coordination with the Superintendent to meet project schedules, safety protocols, and production targets.
  • Assign work to crew members based on project priorities, skills, and equipment availability; monitor work progress to ensure tasks are completed to specifications and within timelines.
  • Lead daily safety meetings, hazard assessments, and pre-task planning sessions to identify risks and implement preventive measures.
  • Inspect ongoing work and completed tasks to verify compliance with engineering plans, technical specifications, and safety standards.
  • Ensure all equipment is properly maintained, inspected, and operated according to safety regulations and manufacturer guidelines.
  • Maintain a safe and organized job site, ensuring that materials are staged appropriately and that tools and equipment are secured.
  • Complete and submit detailed daily reports, crew timecards, equipment logs, safety documentation, and incident reports as required.
  • Monitor site conditions and resource needs, and provide timely updates to the Superintendent regarding progress, delays, or resource adjustments.
  • Mentor and train junior crew members and lead hands, providing guidance on safe work procedures and technical skills development.
  • Enforce compliance with BD Hall’s safety program, WorkSafeBC/OHS regulations, and all client and site-specific safety policies.
  • Suspend any unsafe or non-compliant activities and escalate concerns immediately to the Superintendent or Health & Safety team.
  • Represent the company professionally on-site, demonstrating leadership, accountability, and commitment to quality and safety.


Wage/Salary: $46.12/hour; Scheduled increase to $48.43/hour on May 1, 2026

Vacation/Holiday Pay: 10.4% of gross wages, in accordance with the Collective Agreement

Hours Per Week: 40 hours per week

Terms of Employment: Full-Time, Permanent

Location of Work: Based out of and reporting to 300-19923 80A Ave, Langley, BC, V2Y 0E2; will be dispatched to various job sites in and around the Greater Vancouver area

Language of Work: English, both written and spoken


Skills Requirements

Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent is Required

Work Experience: At least 5 years of verifiable experience in foundation drilling, shoring or piling is required, with at least one year of senior level or supervisory experience

Skills/Licensing:

  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret construction drawings, pile layouts, and engineered lift or rigging plans
  • Demonstrated work history drilling across a variety of ground conditions, including sandstone, till and pit run
  • Demonstrated work history and technical competence drilling with hollow core anchors (IBO)
  • Demonstrated knowledge with safe hoisting, anchoring and concrete placement procedures
  • Demonstrated proficiency in completing site documentation and daily reporting requirements 
  • Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License is required
  • Must be physically capable of performing site inspections, climbing on and off equipment, and working outdoors in all weather conditions
