• →Selecting tools and raw materials.
• →Adjusting the speed and feed according to the material specifications on the machines.
• →Inspect the finished parts.
• →Deburring and clean the parts.
• →Place parts into packaging with identification.
• →Read and interpret the blueprints, work instructions.
• →General turning, milling rarely honing of mechanical components
• →Other tasks and responsibilities which fall within the applicant skills and expertise.
• →Respect applicable occupational health and safety rules.
• →Maintenance and housekeeping of work environment.
• →Perform routine maintenance of machines and equipment.
• →Miscellaneous shop duties.

• Completed DEP(DVS) or ASP(AVS) in Machining.
• Proven work experience as a conventional machinist: 3 - 5 years (Reference).
• Experience on conventional lathe, milling, honing machines (small batch production).
• Strong mathematical skills.
• Knowledge of the cutting tools, cutting parameters (speed/feed) is mandatory.
• Proficiency using calipers, micrometers and measuring instruments to examine parts adequately.
• Bilingual - English and French.
• Detail oriented.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Strong time management skills.
• Willingness to learn new skills.
