Manual Machinist

• →Manufacture and inspects detailed parts from blueprints, sketches, drawings and verbal instructions using a variety of machining tools and equipment ( Manual mills, drill presses, Band saws, shearing & punch presses, flexibus bending jigs, and other machining equipment) and using math.
• →Convert Metric Drawings to Standard.
• →Determines how to set up machines based on instructions received.
• →Perform minor repairs of equipment.
• →Keep work area clean and free from safety hazards.  Maintain acceptable quality and efficiency level.
• →Prove out CNC programs when required.

• →High school or equivalent
• →Technical/trade school
• →2-3 years’ experience on manual machines

• →Ability to make decisions or suggestions based on rules or procedures.
• →Multiple choice situations in which prior experience with similar problems has shown which choice is most appropriate, selecting from known alternatives
