If you’re passionate about making a difference and thrive in a collaborative setting, New Bridge Medical Center is looking for a HVAC Mechanic I.
Repairs and monitors air conditioning systems (central and package), heating systems (water and steam), steam systems (high, medium, low pressure), temperature readings on fans and pumps, heating, cooling, and re-circulation pumps. Also responsible for maintenance of fans (supply, return, exhaust), and oxygen and nitrous oxide piping.
Maintains chilled water, steam, condensate, roof leader, glass acid piping and all other related piping.
Makes rounds in all mechanical rooms, logs said rounds, monitors equipment, repairs plumbing (sinks, toilets, etc.)
Performs plumbing installation and repair. Snakes out drain lines and sewers.
Troubleshoots electrical and pneumatic controls and checks air compressors.
Makes recommendations to supervisor in regard to safety and equipment operation procedure. Also, recommends when the equipment needs to be replaced instead of repaired.
Responds to elevator emergencies.
Performs general repair to building and equipment on assigned zone/floor as requested.
Completes daily time report at end of shift.
Performs snow/ice removal as requested.

Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental, and infection control standards. Assesses gaps in policies and procedures and creates necessary policies and procedures to fulfill these gaps.
Understands and adheres to the Medical Center’s Code of Conduct.
Familiar with the Medical Center’s Mission, Vision, and Values Statements.
