CiMSO – Job Opportunity: Systems Consultant (Hospitality Focus) This position is ideal for a candidate with a background in the lodging, hospitality, or tourism industry who is looking to develop a career as an ICT consultant. The role focuses on supporting and advising clients within the hospitality and realty sectors for a leading ERP software solutions provider. Primary Responsibilities: -Receive incoming support requests and resolve issues for clients within the hospitality and lodging industries; -Consult with clients to advise on the effective application of CiMSO software solutions in real-world hospitality environments; -Perform on-site deployment of new systems or upgrades (project management), often within hotel and lodging operations; -Train users in the use and application of the software, ensuring alignment with hospitality workflows and best practices; -Participate at expos and industry events as and when required; -Actively and continuously learn the CiMSO Software Suite of products; -Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks and achieving required results. Secondary Responsibilities: -Assist in answering and fielding incoming phone calls, receiving, prioritising, and delivering messages; -Provide general office services and administrative support. Required Skills: Strong, professional verbal and written communication skills in English and Afrikaans; Computer literacy, including Microsoft Windows, Office, and Internet applications; Effective prioritisation, organisational, and problem-solving skills; High level of accuracy with figures and strong attention to detail; Solid understanding of the lodging and hospitality industry, including operational processes and accounting systems. Mobility Requirements: Willingness to travel to other cities and, eventually, internationally; Ability to be away from home for several weeks at a time; Valid driver’s licence required; Typically office hours, with occasional after-hours work required. Educational and Experience Requirements: O-Levels / Matric / Grade 12; Diploma / Advanced / Higher / Graduate Diploma in Business Studies, Administration, Management, Hospitality, Tourism, or Hotel Management, or equivalent; Proven experience in the Hotel and Lodging Industry is essential and will be highly advantageous. Environmental Factors: Warm and friendly working environment; Occasional long hours using a computer and telephone; Operating in a busy, open-plan office with interruptions and meetings.
