Responsibilities

→Supervises engineering interns, EITs, designers, technicians and others.
→Plans, schedules, conducts and coordinates engineering work involving conventional practices but may include a variety of complex features such as conflicting design requirements.
→Performs engineering associated with highway planning and design including horizontal and vertical geometry, OpenRoads 3D modeling, retaining wall layouts, quantity calculations, miscellaneous details, and final plan deliverables.
→Interprets and applies applicable codes and exercises judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and substantial adaptation and modification of standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria.
→Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in civil engineering
Registered PE in Texas
TxDOT Experience
Knowledge of PS&E Processes
4-8 years of professional experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong computer skills
Experience with MicroStation and OpenRoads 3D Modeling software
