~1 min readApex is seeking a Transportation Engineer to join our growing transportation team. This position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of roadway, drainage, multimodal, and public infrastructure projects for FDOT and local government clients throughout Florida.
Whether you're designing roadway improvements, coordinating utility relocations, developing drainage solutions, or supporting construction activities, you'll play a key role in delivering projects that directly impact the communities we serve.
Responsibilities
~1 min readAs a member of our transportation team, you'll support project delivery from concept through construction. You'll collaborate with project managers, designers, surveyors, environmental professionals, and agency representatives to develop practical, cost-effective transportation solutions.
Key responsibilities include:
- →Preparing roadway, drainage, and transportation design plans.
- →Developing calculations, quantities, estimates, and technical documentation.
- →Coordinating with utilities, permitting agencies, and project stakeholders.
- →Participating in field reviews, constructability evaluations, and quality control reviews.
- →Assisting with proposal development and client support efforts.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- EI certification or PE license, depending on experience level.
- Experience with transportation, roadway, drainage, or municipal infrastructure projects.
- Working knowledge of FDOT standards and design practices.
- Experience with OpenRoads Designer and MicroStation preferred.
- Sponsorship not available now or in the future.
