BHS Corrugated North America is offering a unique paid apprenticeship that combines college education, hands-on training, and a guaranteed career path as a Field Service Technician upon successful completion of the program.

This is your opportunity to earn valuable skills while working alongside experienced technicians on some of the most advanced industrial equipment in North America.

Responsibilities

As a first-year Apprentice, you'll attend the Industrial Maintenance Mechanic Program at Gaston College or South Piedmont Community College while gaining real-world experience with BHS technicians at our Charlotte facility and customer locations.

You'll learn how to:

  • Perform preventive maintenance on industrial equipment

  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems

  • Work with hydraulics, bearings, and industrial machinery

  • Safely use hand tools and maintenance equipment

  • Conduct equipment inspections

  • Follow industry-leading safety practices

  • Travel with experienced technicians to customer sites across North America

Your education and on-the-job training combine for a full-time, paid 40-hour work week.

  • Accepted into (or willing to enroll in) the Industrial Maintenance Mechanic Program at Gaston College or South Piedmont Community College

  • Mechanical aptitude and a desire to learn

  • Interest in industrial maintenance, manufacturing, or skilled trades

  • Strong problem-solving skills and curiosity

  • Ability to work in industrial environments

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally

  • Willingness to travel for training assignments (up to 3 weeks at a time)

  • Willing to travel up to 80% after completing the apprenticeship

  • Hands-on training with experienced Field Service Technicians

  • College education combined with real-world experience

  • Industry-recognized technical skills
