The Role:


This is a full time, hands-on position working within a creative, energetic & highly customer-focused sales environment.

Responding to customer inquiries and concerns, “soft-sales” of spare parts and field services, developing and maintaining long-term customer relationships, and scheduling of field technicians. Ensure accurate divisional financials by monitoring and recording costs, as well as invoicing and receivables follow-up.


Primary Responsibilities:


  • Act as an Account Manager – ability and willingness to field customer phone calls and generate service tickets or answer other inquires as may arise.
  • Pursue prospecting and sales call via phone, from an existing BlastOne customer base.
  • Work to ensure that all sales inquiries are converted into orders, and that all customers and prospects are given an “unbelievable level of service”, exceeding performance standards.
  • Ensure that all customer inquiries are answered timely, and you delight customers with an enthusiastic “Can-Do” attitude.
  • Work closely with your support team to hand-off non-sales activities.
  • Monitor and record incoming costs, ensuring that financials are kept accurate and up-to-date. Entering transactions into accounting software. Close co-ordination with Accounting Department.
  • Review expense reports and time allocations as submitted by field technicians, to ensure proper project allocation.
  • Schedule field technicians

 

Required Skills:

General office computer proficiency, excellent phone sales skills, be a fabulous team player, and have a passion for detail and organization.


  • Minimum 1 years’ experience in selling industrial supplies, equipment, or machinery spares (experience in the abrasive blasting and coatings industry not required).
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and work well with a team.
  • Demonstrated ability to locate parts based on customer needs and quote spares/replacement accordingly, or willingness to learn.
  • Mechanical aptitude strongly desired.
  • Solve problems under stress, and maintain a “cool-head”
  • Love to work in an office environment
  • Enthusiastic about customer phone support.
  • Ability to engage customers with a transactional
  • Passionate about customer service
  • Self-organization and self-starter skills
  • Experience in Accounts Receivable, Invoicing, Fulfilment and other accounting transactions 
  • Solid grasp of basic computer systems - Microsoft Outlook/Word/Excel, CRM (don’t worry, we can train you our accounting and resource management systems!)
  • Excellent attention to detail. The details matter! If we can't get the small things right, we'll never hope to get the big things right!
  • Brilliant task and time management skills. You always complete your assigned tasks on time, every time!

 

Preferred Skills/Qualifications


  • Fluent in use of Salesforce.com CRM system and NetSuite
  • Ability to write technical sales letters
  • Experience in the abrasives blasting and corrosion control industry
  • Willingness to solve customer’s problems, and work with internal staff to reach a collective solution. Some issues are a quick fix; others require a team effort, and several calls.
