As an Operations and Automations Specialist on Bloomerang’s People Team, you’ll streamline how we hire, onboard, enable, and engage our employees by improving processes and building thoughtful automations. You’ll own key HR systems workflows, identify opportunities to reduce manual work, and partner across the business to deliver a great employee experience at scale.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Own and optimize People Team operational workflows across the employee lifecycle (onboarding, changes, offboarding, and recurring HR processes)
- →Design, build, and maintain automations, integrations, and workflows across HR tools (e.g., HRIS, ATS, engagement and learning platforms) to reduce friction and improve accuracy and efficiency
- →Discover, implement, and provide ongoing oversight of AI systems and processes used by the People Team, including governance, documentation, monitoring, and continuous improvement to ensure effective, responsible, and secure use
- →Serve as a subject matter expert for People Team tools, including configuration, permissions, and troubleshooting
- →Create and maintain clear process documentation, SOPs, and self-service resources for People Team partners and the broader organization
- →Monitor data quality and operational controls, ensuring employee data integrity, timely updates, and consistent process adherence
- →Partner across the business to coordinate cross-functional processes and reduce handoff friction
Requirements
~1 min read- 3+ years of experience in HR operations, People systems, business operations, or process improvement in a fast-paced environment
- 1+ year experience specifically around in-depth usage of Gemini, Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot or similar platform
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement automations and workflow improvements, with a strong understanding of integrations and data flows
- Comfort administering and optimizing HR technology; ability to quickly learn new tools and troubleshoot issues with sound judgment
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with a track record of improving data quality and operational reliability
- Excellent project management skills, including prioritization, stakeholder communication, and delivering results on time
- Collaborative, service-oriented approach with the ability to translate employee and business needs into scalable processes
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality while operating with integrity and compliance mindset
- Ability to actively explore, learn, and responsibly integrate AI tools into daily tasks to drive efficiency and support Bloomerang's mission.

The salary range for this position is: $79,700 - $106,250. You may also be eligible for a discretionary bonus. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent on your skills, experience, qualifications, and location, as well as applicable employment laws.
This is a permanent, full-time, fully remote position. Employees living in Indianapolis, IN are welcome to work from our company headquarters. We do not offer Visa sponsorship or relocation assistance at this time.
