Maintain cleanliness of all public areas including hallways, lobby, elevators, stairwells, restrooms, and back-of-house areas. Deliver linens, towels, and amenities to guest rooms or room attendants as requested.
Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience preferred, but not required. Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays. Must be able to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds.
The Houseman/Porter is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of public areas, assisting room attendants with linen and supplies, and ensuring guest satisfaction by supporting the overall housekeeping operations. This position plays a critical support role in ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests and staff.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Maintain cleanliness of all public areas including hallways, lobby, elevators, stairwells, restrooms, and back-of-house areas.
- →Deliver linens, towels, and amenities to guest rooms or room attendants as requested.
- →Remove soiled linen and trash from guest rooms and housekeeping carts.
- →Replenish housekeeping closets and carts with supplies as needed.
- →Respond promptly to guest requests and ensure excellent service delivery.
- →Assist with setting up or breaking down meeting rooms and special setups as needed.
- →Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or lost and found items to management.
- →Maintain cleanliness and organization in the laundry and storage rooms.
- →Follow all company safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
- →Perform other duties as assigned by the Housekeeping Supervisor or General Manager.
Requirements

- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
- Must be able to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Work performed indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Frequent bending, lifting, standing, and walking.
