About the Role

~1 min read

BlueLabs is hiring an accomplished and dynamic Managing Director to drive significant growth by securing new high-value, transformative political and advocacy engagements, both domestically and internationally. The Managing Director will be accountable for achieving net-new revenue targets, leveraging a deep network and proven sales expertise to build new client relationships.

Key responsibilities include shaping and executing the go-to-market strategy for the Political Strategy and Advocacy Practice, developing the sales pipeline, and closing new accounts. The ideal candidate has a strong track record of landing and expanding political business, significantly contributing to the firm's growth and strengthening BlueLabs’ position with top-tier political clients.

  • Proactively identify, target, and secure new client engagements with major political and advocacy clients—with a clear expectation of landing new engagements within the first 30-90 days.
  • Build and manage a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities, consistently advancing prospects through the sales cycle to close new deals.
  • Leverage your established network to open new doors and create meaningful entry points into political and advocacy organizations.
  • Develop tailored pitches, proposals, and go-to-market strategies that align BlueLabs’ capabilities with client pain points and strategic priorities.
  • Own outcomes for the Political Strategy and Advocacy Practice—driving the team to meet and exceed revenue and growth targets.
  • Cultivate strong executive relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to new and existing clients.
  • Oversee a portfolio of engagements, ensuring high-quality delivery and measurable client impact that supports long-term expansion opportunities.
  • Advocate for client needs internally and contribute to BlueLabs’ broader market positioning and value proposition.
  • Clearly articulate BlueLabs’ technical offerings—analytics, modeling, experimentation, and more—to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Serve as final reviewer for proposals, pitch decks, RFPs, and deliverables across the Political Strategy and Advocacy Practice.
  • Prepare weekly updates on pipeline activity, new business progress, and client relationship health for senior leadership.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of client engagements and confirm delivery excellence.
  • Contribute thought leadership, market insights, and external-facing content that elevates BlueLabs’ presence in the analytics and data science space.
  • Collaborate with departmental and organizational leadership to identify new market opportunities and convert strategic initiatives into actionable growth plans.
