Blue Origin is seeking an EGSE Automation Software Engineer to join the AI&T team on the Terawave program. In this role you will develop automated test cases, sequences, and supporting utilities within the test software architecture defined by the Sr. Automation Software Engineer, targeting space vehicle-level functional test coverage for both development and qualification campaigns. 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Develop and maintain automated test cases and test sequences for space vehicle-level functional testing within the established test software architecture.

• Implement test scripts per defined coverage requirements; verify pass/fail evaluation logic against test success criteria.

• Collaborate with test operations and systems engineering to translate test requirements and procedures into automated test implementations.

• Debug test case failures and trace root cause to software, interface, or hardware issues; implement fixes and improvements.

• Contribute to test software framework feature development under guidance of the Sr. Automation Software Engineer.

• Implement software configuration management and code review practices per team standards.

• Support deployment and qualification of automated test suites for use as production line acceptance test methods.

• Document test cases, interfaces, and framework usage for team reference.

• Coordinate with EGSE hardware and test operations teams on interface requirements and test execution.

• Capture and track automation-related anomalies; support disposition and root cause analysis.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field.

• 3+ years of experience in automated test development, embedded software, or ground support software in aerospace, defense, or a closely related field.

• Proficiency in Python; experience developing automated test scripts that interface with hardware.

• Previous experience with spacecraft or satellite test development, execution, or hardware qualification and acceptance testing.

• Familiarity with hardware interface protocols (SpaceWire, CAN, RS-422, or similar) in an automated test context.

• Experience with software configuration management (Git or equivalent).

• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to document test cases and coverage clearly.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with spacecraft or launch vehicle automated test development at bench, subsystem, or vehicle level.

• Background with GSEOS, COSMOS, LabVIEW, NI TestStand, or similar ground test software frameworks.

• Experience with LabVIEW or NI TestStand for hardware test development and automated functional test sequences.

• Familiarity with PyTest, CI/CD pipelines, or automated regression frameworks.

• Experience with MATLAB or C++ in a test or simulation context.

• Hands-on experience conducting tests in a lab setting.

• Background with requirements verification and test traceability.
